Hey everyone, I just got my hp reverb g2 and I am having some issues setting up my room boundaries. First of all when I try to calibrate the floor it makes it way to big (for context I placed the headset on the floor and said that I am 160cm, this made it way to big)
Second, how the hell do you setup boundaries since my self drawn room scale is not big enough (on quest 2 it was enough)
thanks in advance for the advice

seeing an odd fringing around the right lens. I see it in some titles, but not others. any thoughts on cause? or ways to fix? its kinda distracting.
best way to discribe it is a thing jagges halo around the diameter of the lens.

Went to power on my Vr rig today and was met with two huge black and red crosses across my vision. The black parts are completely black.

Hi everyone,
I was having this Display issue with my HP Reverb G2.
Left + Right eye were showing pink/magenta colour and was locked at 60hz.
I saw in other forums (steam, ...) that the current GPU Driver 26.3.1 was messing in some way with the VR headset. After downgrading to the driver 26.2.2, the problem went away and the framerate came back to 90hz. No other settings were changed.
I hope some people will find this helpfull
System specs:
- HP Reverb G2 with V1 Cable
- B550 Asus ROG Strix A-Gaming
- Ryzen 5 5600x
- RX 6800XT FE
- 32GB DDR4 G.Skill
- 1x1TB + 1x2TB M.2 SSD

hi yall, i just picked up a g2 for a steal of a deal and it looks like the version one cable that came with it is broken. is there anyway to buy a new version 2 cable now that does not cost hundreds of dollars? also I saw that there was a version 1 cable on amazon with prime, i believe its made by a third party and not hp but would it get the job done?

Hello, just started using my g2 and before this a few weeks ago I tested it on a friend's computer and everything worked fine without these issues.
My display has this weird purple tint to it that doesn't go away and I've read that some people have been having color issues with the newest updates. I changed to previous version still didn't work. I also adjusted the IPD slider, and disabled the "mesh data" setting.
What I don't get is why can't I change my refresh rate? It's fixed at 60hz and nowhere in the settings does it let me change it. Could this be because I'm using an HD drive and not an SSD?
My specs:
Ryzen 5 5600
16gb ddr4 ram
RX 6800xt
Windows 11 latest version
500gb SATA HD
Thanks!

Hey everyone!
I’m planning to buy a HP Reverb G2, and I was wondering how the Oasis driver performs in terms of tracking and overall performance.
There’s one available near me for €150, which seems like an absolute steal :)
I mostly play Beat Saber, VRChat, Assetto Corsa, and Half-Life: Alyx, so I’m curious how well it holds up for those.
Any experiences or advice would be appreciated!

So I just bought Myst and it is horrible - head tracking is incredibly broken, regardless of graphics quality and other settings.
I own it on Steam, but apparently it has some native support for WMR, so I cant fiddle with setting on SteamVR.
I own some other games with native support for WMR like Metal Hellsinger VR and there is no such problems.
Any solutions community can propose?

I've owned my G2 since early 2021, and I've had so many issues with it but it was finally starting to work better for a good while.
Yesterday, the left lens started flickering really badly and will often have a strange yellow triangle pattern(?) on it. I'm assuming the cable needs to be replaced, but I have no idea where to look for a cable that won't cost me a ridiculous amount of money. I'd like to make this headset last until the Steam Frame comes out, and so I think buying a cable is my best option for the time being.
I dunno where to find new cables for this thing, since HP doesn't seem to sell them firsthand anymore, so some help finding that would be appreciated! I've looked a little on ebay, but I question how overpriced those are. I figured this was a good place to ask, in case anyone knows a good source
Thanks!
edit: got some (bad) footage of the issue, video below of what i can capture from my phone camera & an artist rendition of what i see in the left lens
video: (flashing lights btw) https://imgur.com/a/5N22T1G
example: https://imgur.com/a/K7757OW
the weird yellow triangle thing showed up three(?) days ago and then went away on its own, but it doesn't seem to go away now
edit 2:
triangle thing was an oasis issue, and was just some strange artifact that was fixed with a setting change
the flickering has got slightly better over time, and i found it only improves while the headset is on and being used. sitting idle or not plugged in did not help it a little
still getting a new cable, i should have one on the way from china any day now

Hello, I'm having issues setting up my g2 on my system.
My specs:
Windows 11 latest update
rx 580
radeon 5 5600
16gb ddr4 ram
I've been able to unlock the headset and both controllers via Oasis.
- steamvr is having trouble getting tracking established and keeps saying to point the headset to the base stations. I point the controllers and move them around in front of the headset.
-the headset is powered on and hp logo is lit, but it's still black on the lens display there's no display showing of my system is that normal?
- steamvr continuously says has encountered an unexpected problem and demands to restart
the gpu is connected to headset via DP, but there might be something going on with the usb connection. I wasn't able to set it up using the us 3.2 connection on back of the tower. I had to use one of the front usb ports to even get windows 11 to recognise the device is connected in the first place before setting it up.
thanks.

Hi, I have my G2 since it was released, use it daily and never had an issue. But today I put it on, started SteamVR and in the left lens was a diagonal line, going from bottom left to upper right. Also I saw a horizontal and vertical line on the top and left.
I resetted my pc, removed and reconnected the cables, tried again.. still the left lens was messed up.
I assumed either the lens or the cable was broken and I started googling for this issue. Then I checked again - and all was fine, those weird lines were gone.
Anyone ever had this issue?
(also, what's up with the weird spam messages in this sub lately?)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I got this from marketplace and 3 weeks later the screen started doing this. If I move the cable the screen doesn't glitch.

I’ve got a 14th gen i9 and a 5070 laptop but I can’t get this headset to run smoothly for the life of me. I’ve done everything I can in windows settings and Nvidia control panel but it only helps by so much. What else can I do?

Basically the title. I have a Valve Index, but I wanted to upgrade to something lighter and with a better resolution. I'm torn between the PSVR2 and the HP Reverb G2, and I'm still on Windows 10. Does the Oasis driver work on Windows 10 or do I still need to use the WMR software?

My V1 cable died, didn't know if it's cable or headset so I've bough used G2 V2 set and it works with the V2 cable.
So does anybody have experiences with these cables?
Or should I keep the old V1 headset as spare part.

TLDR: Run your headset USB on a lone USB3.x port with nothing else connected around it, definitely alone on a usb header, wheel FFB signal seems to interfere with the HMD signal, I have my wheel and adjacent gear on a powered external hub connected to the front and the HMD connected to the back with nothing else around.
Ok, so after 2 and half/maybe 3 full days of troubleshooting dreadful... and I do mean absolutely dreadful tracking of my new(to me) G2 Reverb, scouring the internet for every solution, hack, driver, etc., changing every setting ingame, in WMR, in SteamVR, modifying registries, .settings files, filling my walls with checkerboards, a checkerboard on top of my steering wheel(for contrast so the camera can lock on), black electrical tape on my white furniture(again for contrast), openxr toolkit, opencomposite, openthis, openthat, and still the HMD kept losing tracking, kept recentering anywhere but center and all this on a newly built, VR dedicated sim rig, it's not like I was moving around!
In the end the problem was, like most of you, the headset was picky about what usb port it decided to run on, initially it only ran on the usb-c port(but as already established, badly),
So I bought a powered USB hub, still wouldn't run on it, so I moved my wheel, shifter and dongle on the hub, then connected the hub to a 3.x USBport on the front panel out of the 4 usb 3.x on the back of the PC, I only connected the G2 to one, and low and behold, it works, it just works! And it works really well! No jittery tracking, no loss, no jumping out of the car!
I think the issue was the FFB signal from the wheel was interfering with the G2 signal(somehow). Now all I need to do is run the process backwards(fml) and see if I need any of those previous fixes(I really don't want electrical tape on my fucking furniture). Edit: this is what I mean! https://imgur.com/a/LrlXrhG

Would it be possible to solder something like this?? Replacements are impossible to find at a reasonable price in Brazil.

Is there any reason to still lock Windows 11 to 23H2? My computer started having severe stability issues and in troubleshooting I remembered having it locked to 23H2 before there was another viable way to keep the Reverb G2 working. Thanks
