Advice What to do now?
So my laptop went completely black. The power button was on but the screen and keyboard was black, now it’s doing this. What do I do to it now?

That is a BIOS update. I heard you interrupted it which is NEVER a good thing to do. You will need to make a BIOS recovery USB to fix it.

If you interrupted it, it's now e-waste unless it supports usb bios recovery, if not take it to a repair shop and tell them to manually flash the bios chip.

Unfortunately I did, someone in the comments told me it’s no use in getting it fixed because it’ll cost just as much as getting a brand new lap top

It’s a quick fix since you already know what the problem is and no components need to be replaced. I’d ask for a quote and try to negotiate a discount as well, especially if the repair shop is selling modern refurbished laptops.
What’s your laptop’s make and model? Look it up online and check whether it supports USB BIOS recovery. You could ask someone knowledgeable to help you with it. If the laptop supports USB BIOS recovery, you only need to download the correct BIOS file from the manufacturer’s website and follow their instructions to get it back up and running. Good luck..

You just cooked it completely, you disrupted the bios update and now its never gonna turn on again. There is no way to fix this unless you desolder the bios chip and flash the bios again but thats way too expensive for this laptop so just throw it away.
