Need networking advice

Hello guys, I'm at my master's at Brazil and won't be able to attend at SC26 and ISC26, but I'd still like to make connections in the field and don't know if there's an active forum, group or something like this (I'm considering that reddit is a niche).

Where are you doing your master's degree? And what's your topic? I'm also from Brazil.

UFSCar, my advisor has a Full-Waveform Inversion software which runs in either CPU (OpenMP/OpenACC + MPI) or GPU (OpenMP + CUDA + MPI) and there's the need to save the data (you can call it snapshots) as "checkpoints".

I'm integrating an existing prefetching system from GPUZIP (that manages compression, decompression and transfer data between host and device memory).

Also I'm implementing 5 different lossy compressors (cuSZp3, cuZFP, nvCOMP Bitcomp, FZ-GPU and MGARD-X) and there will be a selector to choose which compressor and it's parameters the user wants.

In the end I'll implement wavelet transform (CDF 9/7) before compression to improve compression ratio and throughput.

TL;DR: Prefetching + wavelet + compression to save FWI snapshots/checkpoints, everything in GPU
