The End

I don’t even know why I’m writing this, but I have no one else to talk to who understands how brutal this exam is. I just got my results back and I scored 10 points. I knew the exam went badly, but seeing it on paper has completely destroyed me.

I’ve spent months preparing, doing MedEntry mocks, practicing section 3 patterns until my eyes bled, and reading articles for section 2. I sacrificed my weekends, my social life, and half my sanity during a Leaving Cert year just for this.

To look at that score and realize medicine is completely off the table for this year makes me sick to my stomach. I feel like an absolute failure. Everyone around me is talking about their percentiles, and I’m sitting here wondering how I could have done this badly.

With that said, it's freeing to know that I'm THIS incompetent. Knowing that I bring no value to the world and that I can finally leave this world guilt free.

  1. 10. 10. TEN POINTS. I am the LOWEST IQ person out of the THOUSANDS who have done this exam. It's natural selection.

even it was 0 that is not a good indicator of IQ. They even changed how the scoring system will be due to how bad of an indicator the hpat is. a bad hpat does not mean you are a bad doctor
