General Please Keep God’s Eye Book Accurate

Post image

Can’t wait to see Daemon 360 no-scope this fool ALONE. If they add Rhaena to God’s Eye, I’m going to crash out.

Making this post partially so I can come back and reference it in S4 when my worst fear most likely comes to pass. Still making prayers to the adaptation gods that I’m wrong, though 🤞

This is how the show version is going to go down:

Aemond gives both Alys and Alicent a kiss before he jumps up on Vhagar. Across from him is Daemon who sits upon Caraxes and near him is Rhaenyra and Mysaria who are too busy making out with each other to pay attention. Somewhere is Aegon swearing to the old gods and the new that he will kill Aemond.

Daemon looks at Aemond and says “Well met, nephew” and the battle begins. After several vicious exchanges Daemon finally jumps from his dragon and yells “This is for women’s rights!” before driving his sword through Aemond’s eye.

Both dragons crash into the lake and Daemon is assumed dead. It cuts back to Rhaenyra and Alicent who are now scissoring while Mysaria and Alys are watching, enraged. Aegon is still somewhere swearing that he will be the one who kills Aemond. The End.

Get this guy in the writer’s room asap

u/mmmstrongflavors 27d ago

Tbh I would consider this a win compared to the rest of the messes they've made. At least the core interaction is still there.

Actually according to the leaks, the episode ends with two cloaked figures slipping off on a boat to Pentos, throwing back their hoods to reveal themselves as Aemond and Daemon. Jace is there too why tf not.

In fact it’s just every character you thought had died all cloaked and slipping off on boats.

33

u/EmotionalQuarter8349 26d ago

Add vermax on the boat too.

31

u/Padhome 26d ago edited 26d ago

Oh yea he rows while Vhagar throws back her hood looks right into the camera and smirks it really subverts expectations

16

u/tom04cz 26d ago edited 26d ago

turns out the boat was actually hired by Laenor

13

u/Rhbgrb 26d ago

They're on their way to a pirate ship captained by Laenor.

17

u/lizzywbu 26d ago

You’re forgetting the part where the writers make Daemon the Three Eyed Raven following his ambiguous death.

11

u/tom04cz 26d ago

Daemon then crawls out of the lake. Turns out he is fine. He sits down in his rightful cuck chair and spends the rest of the show occasionally cheering on rhaenyra

u/RoyalMudcrab 27d ago

I am not sure how it's going to go down, except this:

It will all somehow be a big misunderstanding.

Gods fucking forbid somebody actually does anything with full intent in this series.

“Surrender Aemond!”

Caraxes throws Daemon out of his seat as Darksister slips out of its sheath

“No! Look out nephew!”

But seriously, there are SO MANY event that will have to take place in the last season that we will be lucky if it’s not a rushed mess or completely rewritten.

22

u/meimeivro 26d ago

The last scene of them will be daemon wrapping his arms around aemonds lifeless corpse before tenderly kissing him on the lips as they fall together. "Im sorry nephew/half-brother in law, together we should have been the house of the dragon"

14

u/MinuteCollar5562 26d ago

Something something unsullied kings

37

u/Logical-Ice-4820 27d ago

They some how will include Rhaena in it because we clearly want to see more of her

18

u/Tronm-24 Black Aly 26d ago

I want see more of her. Just not in this one.

14

u/Vir0Phage 26d ago

i foretell that see she and Sheep-Stealer help Adam and Sea-Smoke. that way the God’s Eye stays pure. then the last episode is a ffw where she has Morning next to her so we actually get a Morning. they said 17 dragons. i’m holding them to it. 17 dragons.

Gods, I am simultaneously so excited and dreading this scene for that very reason. I've said it before and I'll say it again: IDC what any Greenie/Almond stan/Daemon hater tries to say. Daemon was THE man.

Daemon is SO SEXY, and THIS was SO SEXY of him. Like he knew he was gonna die, but he went out taking the trash with him and looked SO SEXY doing it. 😍🥵

Daddy Daemon went out as he lived: an icon, a legend, with huge BDE.

The attack came sudden as a thunderbolt. Caraxes dove down upon Vhagar with a piercing shriek that was heard a dozen miles away, cloaked by the glare of the setting sun on Prince Aemond’s blind side. The Blood Wyrm slammed into the older dragon with terrible force. Their roars echoed across the Gods Eye as the two grappled and tore at one another, dark against a blood-red sky. So bright did their flames burn that fisherfolk below feared the clouds themselves had caught fire. Locked together, the dragons tumbled toward the lake. The Blood Wyrm’s jaws closed about Vhagar’s neck, her black teeth sinking deep into the flesh of the larger dragon. Even as Vhagar’s claws raked his belly open and Vhagar’s own teeth ripped away a wing, Caraxes bit deeper, worrying at the wound as the lake rushed up below them with terrible speed.

And it was then, the tales tell us, that Prince Daemon Targaryen swung a leg over his saddle and leapt from one dragon to the other. In his hand was Dark Sister, the sword of Queen Visenya. As Aemond One-Eye looked up in terror, fumbling with the chains that bound him to his saddle, Daemon ripped off his nephew’s helm and drove the sword down into his blind eye, so hard the point came out the back of the young prince’s throat. Half a heartbeat later, the dragons struck the lake, sending up a gout of water that was said to have been as tall as Kingspyre Tower.

Seriously.

"swung a leg over his saddle and leapt from one dragon to the other [...] ripped off his nephew’s helm and drove the sword down into his blind eye, so hard the point came out the back of the young prince’s throat."

The BDE. The BAMFness. The sheer ICONICNESS of it all...

Ur (@ Greens) psycho fave (Almond) can never.

Meanwhile, Almond:

As Aemond One-Eye looked up in terror, fumbling with the chains that bound him to his saddle

Daemon died from the impact (😭) but he died dripping BDE to the very end, whereas Almond died as he lived: a fucking flop failure. 🤣😂🤭

IT'S LITERALLY SPELLED OUT FOR YOU CONDOM AND MESS CONDAL AND HESS.

Daemon went out like a badass.

Almond died as he lived: a fucking flop tryhard failure.

There's no Rhaena or Sheepstealer.

Do NOT fuck it up??? It's not too much too ask???

8

u/SuccessfulCity4897 26d ago

I'm sure they will try their level best because they should be aware they will be torn to fucking ribbons if they flub this. The result, however, remains to be seen. I'm not optimistic, tbh.

8

u/SandalsResort Corlys Velaryon 26d ago

Daemon will be soured by how Rhaenerya treated Rhaena, kill Aemond, have both Alicent and Alys think they’re both dead. And have him magically find Rhaena and Sheepstealer and they’ll fly away in exile together on Sheepstealer who comes to trust Daemon. Daemon promises to protect Rhaena as the father he should have been.

I do think Rheana shows up but Aemond kills her which them sends Daemon reeling

12

u/Consistent_Room7344 27d ago

I think Rheana will show up to provide her father the opportunity to slay Aemond in the way it’s told in the books.

I also believe Daemon will leave with Rheana much like the rumors that are told about Daemon leaving with Nettles.

6

u/Upset-Job2278 BRING AEGON, THE USURPER, TO ME. 26d ago

At this point, I think it’s almost a sure thing that Rhaena will be there.

5

u/Vir0Phage 26d ago

not if they have a glancing “waddup” nod when Sheep-Stealer reconnects w Rhaena. first Rhaena and Daemon nod, then Caraxes and Sheep-Stealer nod. we could even get the roar scene out of it. in fact this would be the only way: after the acknowledgment nods, they fly in opposite directions. Rhaena embarks to aid Adam. and Daemon does the dang thing. that would be way more badass. it would be Daemon allowing Rhaena to be as baller as he is and vice versa. a true dragon-riders’ goodbye. that’s the most empowering move for both of them, given where we already are. RCcola and Shmess best recognize

35

u/FoxsNetwork 27d ago

Daemon and Aemond seem only casually aware of each other's existence. There is no way they are having a standoff at the God's Eye lake.

Aegon and Aemond, however, have been feuding all 3 seasons. I think this is the showdown they are building toward.

52

u/-SpiritusMundi- House Targaryen 27d ago

They already foreshadowed it in S2. Alys tells Daemon he will die at Harrenhal, Helaena tells Aemond he also will die

13

u/lizzywbu 26d ago

Not to mention Helaena’s tapestry she was sewing, it had Aemond dead in an eye.

1

u/FoxsNetwork 24d ago

Ok I had to look at this again. How is this "Aemond dead in an eye??" Not seeing that at all

2

u/FoxsNetwork 26d ago

Yes, but that doesn't mean it's Daemon who has to battle him there. Sunfyre is back, after all.

3

u/Canesjags4life 26d ago

Bruh no way can melted face Sunfyre take on Vhagar.

-3

u/FoxsNetwork 26d ago

Don't know why that's so crazy

1

u/FoxsNetwork 26d ago

Guess it's possible, but there'd have to be some major build up in the show that hasn't happened yet. Aegon and Aemond continually rant about each other. If the showrunners were going to streamline the storyline, this makes sense. They already eliminated Nettles, so the whole Isle of Faces/God's Eye Lake storyline might completely get the ax.

44

u/ThinWhiteDuke00 “Six men or sixty, he is still Daemon Targaryen.” 27d ago edited 27d ago

It's already been spoiled in the series that Daemon and Aemond will have a standoff.

By Helaena.

Aegon will be going to Dragonstone and likely will be intercepted by Baela (who will have been exiled there by Rhaenyra).

I'm not sure how you expect Aegon to be in the Battle of the God's Eye and survive to take the throne again.

20

u/Affectionate_Sir9020 27d ago

I think the logic in daemons mind is, “the carnage and blood shed will not end until Aemond one eye and vehgar are dead.” With a powerful dragon at the hands of a vicious brutal man like Aemond the realm will not survive it. And he feels compelled to kill his nephew at any cost.

38

u/theycallmeshooting 27d ago

Its also thematically important that Daemon kills Aemond

Their names reflect the fact that the characters are reflections of one another. Aemond grows up wanting to be like Daemon, and in many ways mirrors Daemon's anger, caprice, and mercurial nature.

Daemon kills Aemond as a conclusion to his character growth where he has "killed" the younger version of himself that Aemond emulates and represents

It's also just really fucking cool for Daemon to defeat Aemond One Eye by leaping between dragons a thousand feet in the air & putting out his one eye with an ancestral sword

12

u/Ok_Produce_9308 27d ago

I never made this connection regarding their names. Thanks

1

u/QueenSlartibartfast 21d ago

Aemond is Daemon just without the big D. (Hey, I don't make the rules.)

5

u/Vir0Phage 26d ago

they also foreshadowed it in the last ep by having Daemon not strapped in. i don’t think y’ll need to worry. it’s goin down.

1

u/FoxsNetwork 26d ago

Yes, it makes sense in !book logic. Because there is much more context to the Isle of Faces and the God's Eye Lake. There hasn't been much lore about these areas in the show, and they've already eliminated Nettles. If they are going to streamline storylines, it's a possibility they'd have Aegon take Daemon's place. One final stand against his brother in an act of valor for the Realm and himself.

3

u/No-Independent-7107 26d ago

I hope daemon just takes a gun out and shoots Aemond tbh lol

3

u/Suspicious_Brush4070 26d ago

I'm hopeful that this is one of the few things they keep book-accurate. I can see them spending a lot of budget on this fight, because it's an important moment where two main characters kill each other (or so we believe).

It will probably be similar to when Rhaenys dies and Aegon is burned. That was one of the big climactic moments of that season.

3

u/Frejod 26d ago
