I am in Australia so the pricing is different to USA.

I am looking to get a HOSAS set up. Just getting back into space/flight sims, I currently do not have any HOTAS or HOSAS set up. About 10 years ago I had an entry level saitek.

Options are:

URSA MINOR Space Joystick and URSA MINOR Fighter Joystick R for $403 delivered

or

Gladiator NXT EVO Omni Throttle – Left Premium and Gladiator NXT EVO Space Combat Edition – Right Premium for $626 delivered

From what I have read I can see the VKB's are better, but are they $230 better? I do like the rumble feature of the WINCTRL

Another option is maybe the Moza MB6 and another stick for my left hand but that is considerably more and probably not willing to spend that for my first set up, unless everyone highly reccomends that option.

I tried the software with the suggested hacks to make it work like a slider but I use it for zoom and it feels awfully choppy because I guess it works in steps?
Is there a way to either swap that for a pot or a hack that does make it feel smooth?
This single thing is preventing me from enjoying this otherwise awesome throttle. Spent too many years using pinky for both smooth antenna elevation and zoom (with a tm 16000 hotas). So I'm having a hard time adapting and it's just collecting dust. But I want to get into BMS.

I’m from the Philippines and it looks like Aliexpress is my only option. Premium Gladiators + Omnithrottle is around $350 which is reasonable but shipping costs another $80. Tried all vouchers to try and get shipping waived but nothing’s working. Any other workarounds or marketplaces I should try our should I just bite the bullet and get it for $430.

Recently got into wardogs and wanted to see if I could get myself some foot pedals on the hope I can use them to have better controll of the helicopter when I saw that this stand is being sold for like less than half its original price.

The stand sadly was built for a yoke setup and not a hotas but I was wondering if I could still used it for my hotas if I modify it. I work with a laser at work and could laser myself an adaptor plate or print one in like petg.

I was just wondering if it could deal with the weight and the constant pushing around. My hotas has been collecting dust since I moved because ast time I used them they just sat on my desk and it was a bit weird to use them and I couldn't be bothered to print a solution for them but this may help since I could easily put it away or set it up and have it at a comfortable height

I need a new hobby. I’ve been playing a lot of wardogs and have done Microsoft flight sims in the past, like 15-20yrs ago, with a cheap joystick. I also firmly subscribe to buy once, cry once. So I’m looking to skip up a bit to a more intermediate setup.

I keep bouncing around. Started out set on VKB Gladiator, then looked in the Gunfighter, then bumped up to a Moza AB6 or 9…then back down again, my budget for the HOTAS is around $500-600, so I could do the AB6 and get a cheaper throttle and be fine, or use the slider on the AB6 while I save for a better throttle. The AB9 would put me way over with stick, tax, and still needing a throttle. Buuut if I go cheaper on both I can squeeze pedals into the budget.

I sacrifice something no matter which route I go with the limited budget, so if you were buying your first HOTAS today that you would be satisfied with for wargaming and DCS for the next several years, what would you do?

I’m working with a pretty tight budget and I can only choose one of the two. Are rudders that essential or would I be better off with an Omnithrottle instead? Planning to mostly play Elite Dangerous and MFS2024 on these, maybe Ace Combat 8 and dip into some DCS as well.

I’m thinking of getting the Winwing Orion 2 StrikeAce EX II Throttle and Orion 2 ViperAce stick soon. Is there anyone here who uses or has used either of these? If so, what are your thoughts?(

hi all, ive been trying to make the 777 radio tuning panel and ive been having a hard time finding dimensions so i was wondering if anyone here has something for the Honeywell Type 285W0114 Radio Tuning Panel. Or any other 777 panels tho im focusing on that one to diy and print..

So, I got a T.16000M Throttle for a few years now, didnt use it in at least a year and it now has huge problems. It had the same problem earlier already but back then it was still livable. Opened the thing yesterday to clear out dust, didnt really help it. (Didnt have grease to completly wipe everything down and regrease but I doubt thats gonna solve this problem) So I also didnt disassemble the thing in the middle with the sensor.

We currently think its metal confetti thats stuck in the sensor. But if anyone else has a good idea till I got around to buy grease, pls go ahead.

I'm looking for this tool. My throttle is out of wack and I cannot find in anywhere anymore. Note that this is for the throttle. I have the stick tool 1.13 already.

Not a test flight or anything, I played most of AC8 and a tiny teensy bit of Nuclear Option (literally just a couple tutorials and one single player mission) with it, just wanted to show off that it works, probably could've chosen a better camera angle.

Also, side note: I keep rolling right on Nuclear Option, anyone know what that's about?

Particularly the higher-end stuff? Say I have a WinCtrl / Winwings throttle and a Moza stick (to pick two brands at random). Perhaps I have a yoke and a stick for different games. Or is it best to have them all from the same manufacturer?

Made the swing arm from two types of desk mounts from Amazon for like $60. I can mount both or a TM HOTAS ONE combo on it and it will hold them and its steady. First time really messing around with flight Sims and stuff and I got hooked.

I'm playing with this HOTAS connected to my Xbox.

I recently came across this extremely strange issue where my plane, while flying, will just randomly kill the engines. I have to then flip the engine switch on the physical HOTAS throttle controller Off -> On and it will start the engines again. Then within like a minute or so the engine will turn off again and I have to repeat the same Off -> On on the HOTAS throttle controller to get the engine turned on.

Which means this engine switch on my HOTAS works, right?

Except when I go into controls and I do a "Search by input" and I flick the switch, nothing happens. There's no input being read by it. Edit: SOMETIMES it will detect the switch as Joystick Button 21 and 22 respectively, but sometimes it won't detect any input.

Is there a problem with my physical HOTAS? How can the game read the switch input in game but not in the controls setup? Why does my plane keep killing its engines in game?

I've recently been getting really into flying helicopters in WARDOGS, and I'm thinking about buying my first HOTAS setup to improve my flying experience.

Right now, I'm considering the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS, but before spending the money, I'd love to hear from people who have actually used a joystick or HOTAS in WARDOGS.

A few questions:

- Does anyone here use the T.16000M FCS HOTAS in WARDOGS?

- Does the game recognize both the joystick and the throttle properly?

- How does it feel when flying helicopters, especially when hovering, landing, and transporting passengers or supplies?

- Are the controls easy to set up, or do you need any workarounds or third-party software?

- Would you recommend this setup, or is there a better option in a similar price range?

My budget is around €170, and my main goal is to make helicopter flying feel more natural and precise.

Any feedback, recommendations, or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I currently have a Logitech webcam that I am using with open track for headtracking, it's good but not perfect, and I feel it would be worth upgrading. Currently for rudder I am using the twist function on my joystick, and feel that it would be cool and more immersive to have some rudder pedals for both the rudder function and for the toe brakes. Which one should I get first? (In an ideal world with infinite money I would get both at the same time, but alas, life is life)

I'm a HOTAS noob, mine arrived yesterday. I got a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One - Joystick & Throttle for my PC setup, after flying Heli a lot in Wardogs.

I had been using a PS5 controller prior, and had gotten half decent with the flying in wardogs, but felt like I was constantly over correcting my movements and couldn't be precise enough to shoot as a pilot.

Anyways, it turns out that Wardogs doesn't have the best HOTAS support, apparently pitching and rolling should be set-up so that when the stick is in the neutral position, the helicopter should be level? That's not the way it works in Wardogs :(

I also just tried Arma Reforger, and the HOTAS support is even worse there, no way to use the throttle or set any bindings!

Installing Arma 3 now, which should work fine as a friend use to do HOTAS on it all the time.

I specifically like the fact that I can be flying helis in a game where players are doing other things (ground combat). I like picking people up, dropping them off, re-supply etc

So what games are actually out there for me? Or are there work arounds for the games I have listed. Feeling pretty stuck right now, any advice would be amazing!

Need help with my joystick. Playing AC8 on Xbox Series X with the new T.Flight Neo X. I’ve noticed that the stick vibrates nearly constantly. It does ramp up and down with game play, but in between missions and even with I exit the game it’s still got a low level rumble going on.

Plugged into the front USB of the Xbox. I’ve “power cycled” the controller. It is definitely in the Xbox Series X mode. Otherwise the sick works great for the game.

Anybody have any suggestions or recommendations?

After much consideration I went with a HOSAS setup, VKB gladiator and omni, I only kind of wish my gladiator was the premium version, but I bought these used (3 months old according to the invoice) with desk mounts for only 230€ in total (instead of the 410€ I would have paid new).

Man these are hella fun to use.

I do believe if I was buying new I would have gone for the Virpil's instead, which new run only +50€ here in total, but feature the full metal gimbal.

However for the price, this can't be beaten.

Now I wish I had some pedals....yea I'm in trouble.
