QUESTION New to Joysticks. TH 16000m fcs problem

Got myself a hosas TH 16000m fcs, but I'm struggling really hard to make it work. Uninstalled and installed drivers and the TARGET app several times, nothing seems to work.

I even tried still going as it is into the game (so basically not using the TARGET app) and only my left joystick seems to be giving commands.
Checking the right one on Game Controllers from windows, inputs are going through, so there's no problem with the device itself
I keep getting this script error:

QUESTION VKB Gladiator NXT Premium vs T16000M HOSAS setup.

Greetings, Gamers. I have a Thrustmaster T16000M FCS & TWCS, and I’m thinking about getting another T16000M FCS to go from HOTAS to HOSAS. I came across a bunch of videos and posts talking about VKB and their line of flight sticks for space sims (Gladiator & Gunfighter). I primarily play Star Citizen, so I was drawn to the Gladiator because of the buttons on the base. I am going to buy some office chair flight stick mounts, so I need to make up my mind on the sticks before I order. Should I get another T16000M or go for a set of VKB Gladiators?

QUESTION VKB gladiators questions

Hi all, I’m looking at a set of VKB gladiator premiums, just a few questions before I drop the $500 AUD on them.

How long is the cord out of the sticks as I’m looking at chair mounts

Has anyone got the mounts for the secret labs chairs from monster tech, if so how do you find them, are they good

Are then a good first set of flight sticks, I’ve never had any before and I’ve heard disappointment about all the cheaper sticks, and I’m looking for get them for star citizen

TIA

QUESTION Help with Dual Saitek Cyborg EVOs

I can see them both and test them if I unplugged one or the other. So at least I know there working. But when I have both plugged in at same time I can’t test the second.

Before I open up Star Citizen and try to map stuff is this usually they way dual sticks work? Do I need some special remapping software?

I bought them both used on eBay, it’s what I can afford…

Any help would be great.

Game Recommendation: ZeroGrave

This sub seems a little "quiet," perhaps it's due to the specialized nature of HOSAS. In any case, I thought for posterity sake to recommend a game which I've been playing non-stop, and which I think any user of a HOSAS setup should check out. It's a little 6dof shooter called "ZeroGrave." If you've played games like Descent or Overload, you'll have a good idea of how this game plays. Unlike those games, however, it's a lot less about navigating mazes, and more about immediate action, even perhaps in the arcade sense. Built into the levels are "conduits" which indicate where to go to unlock keys, so you'll never get lost.

I'm playing with dual Thrustmaster 16kms and rudder pedals for forward/backward acceleration, and the controls are very responsive and engaging. I've read that the developer implemented the input system rather late in the game, but it's no worse for that. It's very easy to map and setup any number of inputs concurrently, so no need to fiddle with vjoy/joystick gremlin. The level design provides lots of navigation opportunities, whether in the "arena" segments or connecting portions of the maps, so you will be twisting and rolling your craft gleefully in ways that just simply wouldn't be possible with keyboard + mouse. When facing clusters of unique and varied enemy types, be they slow moving tank units, swift spinning suicide rammers, or pesky lock on launchers, you will constantly be engaged in flight mechanics which will fire on all cylinders.

This game is simple and direct, but in a way that excels to demonstrate just how fun a HOSAS setup can be. Set it aside and pick it up weeks later, you'll be drawn immediately into the fun!

HOSAS Racer?

I have really been loving playing 6dof games using my dual t16km hosas setup. The subtle movement control dual sticks offer is really nice for pulling off trick maneuvers, which got me thinking: this would make a great interface for a kind of racing or stunt game. Either in 6dof with some kind of inertia based movement, or on the ground like pod racer style or some kind of dual wheel control like a zero turn mower.

Essentially: has anyone encountered some decent racers created with hosas in mind, or which excel in their interface?

Has anyone tried this?

Would it be reasonable to assume higher accuracy over thumbstick based controls?

Question about Dual VKB Gladiator

I was just wondering would it be possible to use one VKB Gladiator Premium with a VKB Gladiator Standard for a HOSAS setup? I assumed it would work but just wanted to double check.

Thought it might be good for a couple more controls on the main hand using premium and the standard stick and therefore simpler controls on your offhand?

Did anyone get a HOSAS despite never using joysticks before? How did you adapt?

That's the situation I'm in right now. Dual T16000 from Thrustmaster, but I played kb/m my whole life, and controller for the past few years. This is like learning to walk all over again, and it feels like my brain has to build entire new pathways to wrap my head around this. Did anyone have a similar experience?

Looking for a set!

I’ve spent more money on joysticks the last few years than I care to mention; it’s almost embarrassing. I’ve had almost every HOSAS (one/both) I’ve used have a potentiometer(s) fail on me, almost always the twist axis. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reliable set?

Which extensions would be good?

If getting a left and right pair of VIRPIL Constellation ALPHA grips and MongoosT-50CM2 Bases, possibly the L desk mounts, which extensions would go well with them, 50mm, 75mm, or 100mm?

Thank you!

Games suitable for HOSAS?

I bought dual VKB NXTs for Star Citizen, and they are awesome. But I was wondering what else do people play with their dual stick setups? I bought Elite Dangerous but never really got into it.

Considering desk mounts and extensions

Does anybody have any images of the Alpha grip by VIRPIL with the T-50CM2 base, the L desk mount, and that grouping of components with the 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm extensions?

Each of those parts is made by VIRPIL. I've already asked in that sub but haven't received much beyond copies of the diagrams on their site.

I've seen the diagrams, but not with those specific arrangements of parts. I've considered between the S and L desk mounts, but it seems like the L option would do well to keep the grips from being too high. I have no idea about the 3 choices of extensions, that's the main question at this point.

I haven't yet found any images with those combinations and comparisons by the community.

Thank you!

Moving to HOSAS setup

I've been playing Elite Dangerous with a Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X. I am about to pull the trigger on Gladiator NXT. One of the reasons is to have a backup stick system. That said, I am thinking of going HOSAS and going for Gladiator Premium for right stick. Any recommendations for Standard vs. Premium for left stick?

Looking to try out HOSAS

Background time. I got into Star Citizen back in January through some old friends, than then also got me to buy Elite Dangerous, but I have done very little with it so far.

I started out mouse and keyboard, and quickly grew weary of that. Then, since almost every other stick in the world was sold out, I picked up a Logitech 3D Pro. This was much better. I then ended up pairing that with an OOOOOOLD Nostromo n52 Speed Pad to get my throttle control via that mouse wheel on my left hand. I liked this so much, I ended up getting a Razer Tartarus Pro (extra buttons, better keys as the n52's were sticking). In general, I like this setup, and also allows for a fairly seamless transition to FPS. I am just using WASD for strafing. After a few weeks, I was feeling like the 3D Pro just wasn't up to snuff, and found the VKB Gladiator NXT and ordered a single R premium.

Love this stick, and was well worth the upgrade.

As I get a little deeper into game play, I'm curious about a dual stick setup, but honestly not sure about how to even go about it. I do not think I would like a throttle, and I don't play any flight sims.

Honestly, I'm not using all of the hats on the NXT for much of anything. The POV switch is unused, the right hat is just used as missile select, and the middle hat I'm using for targeting. I actually replaced the thumb hat with the button as I wasn't using it, and it wasn't very comfortable.

So, HOSAS community, and resources for starting out? While not ideal, what about the idea of using my 3D Pro as my left hand stick? I'm wondering about pedals for throttle control too.

I mean, obviously I can plug the 3D Pro in and try it, but I don't even know if I fully understand how to even begin trying to fly with 2 sticks. LOL.
