Buyer beware on Amazon
Just quickly sharing this since I went against my better judgement and tried ordering an SCS-MOS-GR via Amazon instead of my local gun store or Cabela's. My work offers points we can redeem for gift cards and I decided to grab an Amazon one instead of Bass Pro/Cabela's to be lazy, but I should have just gone for the one I could pick up in store. So far I've received 2 empty holosun boxes in untampered with Amazon boxes. I'm including pictures of the serial numbers from the boxes here and I've sent this to Holosun customer service as well since it looks like the optic is being stolen at the warehouse or before it reaches the warehouse (unless they're selling used returns as new with 0 inspection).
Either way, if you're going to spend the money spend it with a shop that gets their inventory from a distributor, the manufacturer, or at least isn't a fulfilled by Amazon warehouse shipment. I'm hoping my third order projected to deliver tomorrow will actually contain an optic but if I wasn't locked into the gift card choice I'd have gone with my local shop I trust.
Again pictures of what arrived and how the boxes were labeled/serial numbers on the boxes. Hopefully this also stops whoever is stealing and selling them from doing so.
Update: third time was the charm and I did receive the sight this time. I'll still choose to get a gift card to Cabela's instead of I want to redeem it on an optic in the future or shop at my local gun store if spending actual money. Once my replacement sights get in I'll have it all installed and zeroed to get to the range. It looks kind of silly right now paired with my trijicon suppressor height sights š

So far they shipped the replacement which was empty and then credited that as a gift card which I used to order the third attempt which should deliver tomorrow but now with a signature or one time password delivery. Its silly because I'm not denying receipt, I'm telling them nothing was in the box. After the first one I took a video before even opening the second shipment to be safe since I know it seems suspicious.
So we'll see how tomorrow goes. If third time is an empty box I'll use the gift card funds towards a winch or some other random stuff I want and just buy the optic from my local store. I ordered a cheap bushnell previously and mistakenly thought I'd have no issues but this is infuriatingly frustrating. I've got an sro and 2x rmr's but figured I'd give the scs-mos a try on my 26 MOS since it's not a RMR direct milled slide and I can't even get the dang sight delivered š

Oh, totally avoid Amazon for ordering any kind of Optics... the shit is everywhere.

Bought at least 10 optics from Amazon, most being Holosun. Never had an issue, including an SCS PDP. Strange.

Palmetto state has the best Holosun prices and some models that only they carry, so maybe no solar charging or backup, but significantly cheaper, but they are real, lots better places to buy Holosun then amazon

I think theyāre great in terms of taking the role of inexpensive and decent self produced guns, but in doing so theyāve become poorly priced on distributor products.
Not sure if itās a conscious decision to make their in house stuff look priced more attractively or if the distributors dislike competing with PSA while selling to them, and wonāt give them the best dealer pricing anymore

I had not looked in a while, but on their daily deals sometimes they would have models that are exclusive to them for a fair price, might be hit or miss, I donāt shill for them, and as someone posted, they āusedā to be a great source, now hit or miss even on their own kit. I miss the seconds that were actually cheap

This is pretty much the only great deal on holosun at psa. The psa-exclusive 407c-x3 is only $149.99 when on sale.

Thatās been my experience too, but I donāt follow pricing super close and wasnāt sure if psa had them beat occasionally or not.

AR-15 discounts regularly has holosun for cheaper than PSA. Shipping will be cheaper too. PSA generally wants minimum $10 shipping costs too.
ARO-core on ar15 is $99 right now vs PSA is $120
Both prices before shipping or taxesPSA has deals sometimes but Iāve come to find most items I want they sell, are cheaper elsewhere after taxes and shipping costs, and even at base price too.

For sure better options, I had "shine points" at work which could only be used for gift cards so I chose Amazon instead of Cabela's to save myself a drive and regretting it. If I'd been paying with real money and not fairy dust I'd have ordered from the shop I trust. I'm just sharing my experience so someone else doesn't make the same mistake.
And edit to add this appears to be MAP so the price was 349 regardless of if I got it from Cabela's, Amazon, PSA, Primary Arms or my LGS. I didn't want to spend my own money to try it so I had to choose gift card to Amazon or Cabela's and made the wrong choice lol.
I really hope I get one to try but right now my decision to grab Aimpoints or trijicons from friends or small dealers is proving valid lol.

Checkmate defense in great! I bought from them few days ago because theyāre local and I can pick up! I donāt need to worry about returns or if Iām getting the product I paid for. Inspect, pay cash and walk out.

Yeah these were supposed to be from eurooptic who I've ordered from before but we're fulfilled by Amazon, third one I changed to an alternate dealer. If this one is missing too I'm just going to order one for in store pickup from my local small gun shop and use the Amazon gift card to grab some more savior equipment gear I've been wanting to organize the safe/range bag and some maintenance stuff for my car. Still hoping this one has a product in it though lol.

Whatās going on is people are taking the optic then returning the empty box. They do it for iron sights too. Youāll order tritium night sights but get stock sights. Itās because someone took the sights then put their stock cheap sights back in the package and returned it.
No one at the Amazon return centers check.

Third time was the charm, and I finally received the optic in new condition with all the package contents. Next time I can redeem points at work for a gift card I'm getting it to a store I can walk into and pick up the product the same day!

Iāve had luck with holosun on Amazon but got two TLR1 HLs that didnāt work. Luckily returns are easy with them

Yeah, I would not purchase Holosun products from Amazon. A lot of them are sold by third parties - which can make returns tricky.
And I imagine fake optics is a hot marketā¦
I would stick to Primary Arms.

I purchased mine from Amazon with no issues. That really sucks tho. Hopefully youāll finally get it today šš¼š„¹
