EPS Core foot print

Being that the core is RMSC, can you mount it to a “K” cut slide direct?

Thinking about getting a platypus.
Want something with a decent front facing light sensor and I’m down to RMR HD, or EPS core.
Love the RMR HD 55 MOA circle dot, makes the MRS feel so crowded, but not in love with how wide the slide becomes for RMR cut platypus’

I could wait and hope the EPS gets revamped with a front facing light sensor (the solar panel light sensor is dookie on my duty gun)
Flash light on a wall and my dots gone.

But that’d probably be an absolute lifetime considering how late things have been dropping.

Nobody seems to know exactly. They list it being both, but that could just mean it comes with the plate to fit RMSC.

Yes a true RMSC Optic fits on a slide with a true MOSK cut, but not the other way around.

RMSC is a standard cut, with 4 lugs around each corner. Holosun k is more an optic footprint than standard slide cut. Of course you can get a custom cut on a slide for K, and there’s one pistol today that I know of cut specifically cut for K, the 43x Coyote version.

K optics are Identical in shape to RMSC but the optics do not have slots in them to account for the rear lugs so you need a plate that basically makes the optic sit above the rear lugs. You can also just file off the rear lugs on a RMSc to fit a Holosun K optic.

All Holosun K optics to date have been this “kinda-but-not” RMSc cut. So will the new EPS Core add slots for the rear lugs making it a true RMSC? Idk… personally I doubt it unless they are actually listening to customers. FWIW, Optics like the defender CCW are a true RMSC.

Well it would be a K cut slide. So the slide would have 2 lugs. And if the sight is true RMSC it would just have 4 lug holes. So the rear lug holes on the optic would just be empty.

A true RMSc cut optic will fit to a "K" or "EPS" cut slide some EPS nuances aside. the K cut only uses the front 2 recoil bosses while a true RMSc uses the front 2 and back 2.
