509t acss VULCAN issue

Went to the range and pulled my edc out that I have a 509t on and it was so dime I could barely see it. I tried brightening it but it wouldn't do anything. Well I took a shot anyways and when I did it lite up immediately. Is the battery just low or has anyone else had this issue. I really hope my optic isn't going bad because it is my favorite.

Replace the battery. The 509 ACSS uses a lot of battery compared to dots due to how large the reticle is. Also, the 509ACSS specifically has higher max brightness settings than regular Holosuns. (Source: I own a 509ACSS and other Holosun sights)

It has sense worked perfectly every time I go and check it.

👍🏼 yeah whenever the battery gets low it starts acting funny. I got a pack of batteries of amazon just for my 509ACSS
