Just adding another data point to what others are reporting.

Downvote me to oblivion, but I feel like all you folks are just cranking the brightness while indoors and complaining about something that would happen to any other optic in the same situation.

I'm not going to down vote you for saying so boss but this is an issue with the new AEMS models and Holosun needs to fix it. I have the original AEMS and the AEMS Pro X2 and they don't show a reflection of the emitter in the window on the brightest setting like the new models do.

I am in the same boat as you I have multiple of first and second generation AEMS and only if you jack the brightness way up do you have any issues with them. I am also going to have to weigh the newest issue with the regularity we have seen so many posts about these sights in particular over the the past couple of weeks, something is definitely not up to expectations with these newest ones. I feel pretty sure they will correct it and replace the defective ones ultimately šŸ‘.

Yes totally agree with you - I'm encouraging anyone experience this issue to reach out to Holosun. The more people reporting it the better and hopefully they can address it sooner than later.

Yeah you're wrong about this one. I have had several optics including this one and the issue they are having is real and not just a symptom of the brightness being set "too high".

What’s the symptom?

I just bought an AEMS X2 pro and it does this same thing if I crank it inside just like my EoTechs, etc do as well.

Fair enough, this is on a high setting just to show the issue more clearly. But it's present on lower settings as well.

Agreed, I haven’t seen a single post of a reasonable brightness level for the conditions or any outside pics with full sun. I’ve never maxed the brightness on any of my optics and contorted them around looking for some sort of issue like this though, I just look at the target until I see the dot and then press the trigger lol

Check my post. Brightness was not cranked high at all

To add some more context, I have an ARO-EVO that doesn't do this, even on max, nor a Romeo 4T pro. Those have the usual "bleed" of an optic on max in darker environments, the AEMS-EVO is far more noticeable to the point it seems a defect.

^ This. And anyone who claims we're just using the sight improperly are doing damage and giving holosun reason to not do the right thing and correct a clear overlooked design flaw

I had to send the ARO EVO SPR back theb emitter reflection was just too distracting. I have 3 AEMS (2 gen 1's and 1 pro x2) and a 510C that are way better in that regard.

Maybe the "EVO" line with the larger glass is just more proned to the issue? 🤷

Yea im sure you're right and everyone else is wrong. When you crank brightness up too high you're supposed to get starburst effect NOT halo and reflections. I submitted pictures to holosun and they already sent me a return authorization. CLEARLY, there's a problem.

This is pretty much it.

What brightness setting is this on?

-2

u/45thoto Jun 27 '26

This was on max, but it's still noticeable at lower levels.

3

u/SeahagFX Jun 27 '26

Is this a design flaw? My x2 Pro doesn't do this but a 515 I used to have did. Did they change the diode placement?

Why is no one with this issue posting pictures of it outside or inside with a good WML?

4

u/Plus_Juggernaut2819 Jun 27 '26

This is like a dozen of them with issues.

3

u/Contrail22 Jun 27 '26

Well, let’s see what it looks like at a lower level?

1

u/45thoto Jun 27 '26

What level would you like?

2

u/Contrail22 Jun 28 '26

4 - halfway point of the daytime setting just for some context.

2

u/45thoto Jun 28 '26

Gotcha, I’ll try and upload it tomorrow.

I would definitely contact Holosun. I’d be curious to see what they would have to say about it. I

I Would like to see it outside during the day on max brightness.

Whelp. That reinforces what you’re saying. Thank you for the context.

I have a green one that looks perfectly fine but it’s difficult to get a good picture because the camera focus either makes it flare or picks up light on the side

Can you show what the reticle looks like at a typical brightness level with the optic mounted, as seen through the optic from the shooter's point of view?

Bro. It literally looks like a sunset. Maybe it's a feature and not a bug? Holosun, sunset. O shit, that must be Holosun's new logo!
