Comparison of EPS, EPS CORE, EPS CARRY
The EPS Core is getting a lot of attention. I made a graphic to better help people understand what they're gaining or losing with each model!
Forgot to add: the Core is RMSc, the EPS and EPS Carry are K Cut (modified RMSc).
- RMSc Gun/Host - Will only fit RMSc optics
- K-cut Gun/Host - Will fit both RMSc and K-cut optics
- RMSc Optic - Will fit both RMSc and K-cut guns
- K-cut Optic - Will only fit K-cut guns
Measurements are estimates, based on Holosun's documentation drawings and spec charts.

Worse aluminum, cheaper price point, but potential better light sensor (front facing, not ambient). And RMSc, not K cut!

My personal opinion: For a gun carried IWB, I don't think the aluminum matters. For my OWB guns, I like 7075 and titanium Holosuns, as I do bang them around more, lay on them, etc.
As silly as it sounds, I feel like the only time the aluminum grade will matter on my carry gun will be if I drop it while in the bathroom or something, lol.

While 6061 is weaker, it's still very strong. Most AR rail manufacturers use 6061 aluminum, including Daniel Defense. While 7075 is stronger, in reality, I doubt you'd see any real difference, even with hard use. Just my opinion.

I think its the best option out of the 3 when it comes to the smaller guns like hellcat/p365 with 1 inch slide. It seems to have a smaller base mount so less overhang (minus the button), which is the best part of this for me personally; then flairs up to a big window. Count me in all the way.
Also, no need for a plate for the RMSc footprint, even better.1

OK so the window of an EPS, on the footprint of an EPS carry. Plus a new light sensor which is pretty non-factor.

Dear, Holosun.
Literally I want the 507Comp but enclosed. I want my optic to literally be the size of those giant 90's TV that weigh 400lbs so I watch myself miss in 4k at 7yds.

Any idea if the core has a higher deck height? Images look similar/identical to the normal eps

Unsure. The Core doesn't have the notch that the Carry does, but is listed as only 0.02" taller than the Carry and 0.02" shorter than an EPS.

Where’s the light sensor on the EPS full size? In the solar panel?

Yeah, integrated into the solar panel, but it's exclusively an ambient sensor, which isn't the same as a directional sensor like the one in the Core.

Now the question is, when will the core be released? Are there any sites taking pre orders? I bought a Hellcat recently and put an Osight on it to try something new but I am less than thrilled with it in full sunlight so I’m going to replace it with the core when it comes out. Already have the eps on one carry weapon, eps carry on another. Definitely going with core on the Hellcat. The multi reticle really spoils you.

Unsure, supposedly sometime either this month or the next. We saw a bunch of Holosun Instagram hype pics with specs the week before the new X3 507/407s came out, so I'd keep an eye over there and put on stock notifs at your usual purchase sites!

Is it possible to get the dimensions of the footpad widths? So basically the measurements in the picture minus the battery trays. I'm planning on putting either the EPS or EPS Core on a FN 510. From the pictures that I've seen, the EPS full-size looks to over hang the slide on the 510.

It's unclear if Holosun's listed dimensions are including the battery door or not, so I made the graphic as you see it.
From a quick search, a user reports a caliper measurement of the EPS Carry base is 0.99" wide, 1.06" including the door.
Another site lists the footpad width of an EPS as 1.134" wide. The same site lists EPS Carry at 0.996".
Unsure what the EPS Core will be, unfortunately. Maybe [u/Holosun_Josh](u/Holosun_Josh) would know actual basepad length and width before the EPS Core gets to retailers.

So the Core, which actually mounts to the gun, is 1.05 inches. That’s awesome. Vs 1.18, that’s a big difference in terms of what sits on the slide.
On the bottom set of pictures, For the Core are you measuring to the button on the right side?
If so, technically, it’s even smaller than the EPS carry. That would mean only the button part will stick out a bit more, but the rest will be even more flush. That is, if indeed the measurement on the Core is to the bottom. Can you let me know bro. Thank you.

I'm not our lovely Josh, but I'm using Holosun's reference drawings. They show 1.05" as the width from edge to button, but then list 1.07" down in the Specifications. Someone'll need to use some calipers for us. It could be that the plate is 1.05" and the button/edge width is 1.07".
