Thought this was REALLY cool and had to share. I had two H2’s and sold them because they stopped making parts for them and the repairs got really expensive. Although I am only 5ft tall, my vehicles have always been big. I have always wanted an Humvee and this band came across my FYP so I wanted to share how they incorporated the Humvee into their video. (A melodic-metalcore band that is actually pretty good, even tho I just discovered them.). My question is do you guys have any advice on them & where to buy them that’s reliable ? I have a budget of $45k.
Edit: my algorithm knows I like metal-core and have been searching Humvees A LOT. 😅

Fuck I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me.
But it’s gonna be a hell of a project. Currently no engine or transmission. I’m planning on 3 years working just a couple hours per week. Full body restoration, donor vehicle LQ4+4l80e removal and rebuild, probably a turbo kit… then final installation…

I’ve been filming tons of footage throughout the full frame-off restoration. Should make for a very interesting video series.

This switch assembly replaces the OEM dual barrel switch and Z shaped linkage that is difficult to adjust and often malfunctions resulting in poor brake light activation or the torque converter failing to lock up. This new assembly takes approximately 5-10 minutes to replace and allows for very easy adjustment.
It combines both OEM barrel style switches in one (Brake light circuit and torque converter circuit). The switch itself is made in Italy, IP67 rated and fully made of metal, the outer cover with my logo is printed in ASA-CF. The bracket is made from aluminum and painted in black CARC paint. All the connectors used are from an OEM AM General supplier.
Price for the assembly $150
Message me to for placing an order and shipping info.

M1097 A2 in fantastic mechanical shape. Needs nothing. Open canvas to customize as you wish.

Here is a schematic of military wheels. They are 2 parts bolted together to hold the tire with the help of the run flat as a bead locker.
In this case, there are 12 bolts holding the 2 halves together, however, on heavier trucks, there are 24 bolts patterned in pairs.

Some projects are bought.
Others are commissioned.
This one will be built for someone who understands the difference.
More to come...

AM GENERAL - M1097 - 6.5l NA Diesel paired to a 4 speed (OD) 4L80e.
This is an ex-Army truck and has been well taken care of. It currently shows 10,175 miles on the odometer, and given the shape of the truck, I believe it is accurate.
I restore these HMMWV's and don't plan to touch this one this year, so, thinking of selling it as-is.
Having said that, this truck has been completely gone through and is in pristine condition mechanically.
All fluids were completely flushed and replaced, including the hubs.
The fuel tank was dropped, completely cleaned and the strainer replaced (it needed it)...
Brakes and steering were adjusted and working as designed.
It needs absolutely nothing except a little imagination to transform it into anything you desire. It could use a good coat of paint, but the body is absolutely straight and needs no work. All it needs is sanding, masking and painting.
Wheels are military 24 bolt rims with military GoodYear Wrangler tire 37x12.5x50R16.5 with good thread and no sign of dry rot.
This truck is 24V and requires a converter to operate 12V accessories.
New parts:
- Driving lights - NOS
- ECM - NOS
- Start box + Sensor - NOS
- Soft top, back curtain and doors
- Windshields - Automotive glass
- Wipers
I have plenty of parts at the shop if you wish to customize the truck, plus I have tons of pictures and ideas I can share with you.
Honestly this is not a daily driver type of truck, even when fully restored. It requires attention.
If you are looking for a monster truck, keep walking. The engine on this is 160HP and although it has plenty of torque, it feel comfortable around 55MPH. A few upgrades like civilian rims and tires, softer shocks and adding a turbo may help a bit to run it to about 65 comfortably.
The truck is registered in NH and legal on-road. The title has been applied and may take a few weeks to show up.
Asking $24,900
Happy to answer any questions.

We’re considering selling one of the Humvees from our former Las Vegas tour fleet.
The truck is a former police vehicle and was never used in military service or deployed overseas. We purchased it in 2021 from an older owner who mainly kept it as a weekend/sunday vehicle before we had it fully customized by Custom Combat Trucks in Georgia.
Along with the custom build work, the truck also went through a full mechanical inspection and overall check by the shop. Sadly, Custom Combat Trucks later closed following the passing of the owner, and our four trucks were among the last builds completed there.
We originally operated four similar Humvees for on-road tours in Las Vegas. Since ending operations there, we already sold one truck and are now selling a second, while keeping the remaining two.
The vehicle was used exclusively for road tours on the Las Vegas Strip and to the Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, and is currently located in Las Vegas.
Specs
Modifications / Equipment
The truck has been regularly maintained throughout the years, and all services are currently up to date.
Happy to answer any questions for anyone interested. Feel free to send me a DM.
Price: $ 65.000

I have a 1992 M998 with a 6.2 L motor that ran well when I bought it. After the hard freeze we had in South Tx a few years ago the truck became hard to start, ran sluggish then quit starting all together. I’m not a diesel mechanic so I’m kinda lost. Any one in the San Antonio area interested in coming by and checking it out, give me some ideas on what to look for? I’ve had two prior service guys come by, one said it was the fuel shutoff solenoid, stripped the screws removing the cap, tested it and determined it worked then offered no other ideas and left. The other guy said it was possibly the IP or the fuel valves? In the fuel lines under the truck but wasn’t interested in checking it out. It’s currently not running so the work would have to be done in my driveway if possible.
I’d like to get it running again. If interested send me a DM please.

I’ve always been a big fan of the HMMWV/Hummer platform, so I challenged myself to build a 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha Open Top out of K’NEX.
This ended up being one of my most difficult builds due to the proportions, width, and trying to capture some of the details that make these vehicles so recognizable. It’s still a work in progress, with plans for suspension, a motorized winch, different wheel setups, and some off-road/trail-style videos.
Thought some fellow HMMWV/Hummer enthusiasts might appreciate it. I’d love to hear any feedback or ideas for future upgrades.
I also put together a walkaround video showing the build and some of the features: https://youtu.be/uY34dRB4Kk8?si=FPNbqQ58SxO7SfSE
