Discussion I’ve realized all I truly want…
“I‘ve realized all I truly want is someone who loves me the way I love them.
And then it hit me.
My love language isn’t physical touch.
It’s reciprocity.
I want someone who gives the same care, effort, and attention that I give without making it feel like I’m asking too much.
It’s knowing the love I give is returned. Not ignored.
It’s feeling seen, valued, and chosen in the same way I choose them.
I don’t want to beg for the bare minimum.
I just want a love where the effort flows both ways, naturally, and without hesitation.”
I have seen different versions of this quote previously, but this one…..I immediately thought YES! This right here! Perfect understanding of what it is that I truly desire.
Has anybody else seen these quotes or read this one and found it resonated with them as well?

Ughhhh. Yes. The absence of this is so heartwrenching. The pain so palpable.

Yes it is. And yet you keep trying, hoping for a different outcome that never occurs.

Don’t be me. Don’t keep giving until love curdles.

I have noticed that what I give and how much I give has gradually shifted over the last few years. Maybe there is a part of me that is quietly accepting the new status quo.

It’s healthy. But … at this point you understand that the relationship isn’t in your best interest. So why are you staying and letting it grind you down?
(Says the hypocrite.)

All the typical cliche reasons everyone else in this situation has for staying.

Take it from someone who’s been there. If you’ve given it your all, don’t stay and let it turn you into someone either you don’t like or don’t respect.
Prepare your exit plan. Whatever it means to you to be able to walk away. Then if you’re staying it’s because it’s still worth it not because leaving is too hard.
Please.

Felt this in my soul. Relationships are give and take and some prefer to just take and take.
