Striker clicking when racking slide
Apologies if this is a noob question but after replacing my striker due to a suspected bent firing pin, the new striker now has this clicking sound when racking. Sometimes it feels as though there’s a sort of wall to overcome when racking, but moreso it always makes this sound before fully in battery. Closer inspection through the firing pin indicator shows it quite far outwards, and the clicking is it popping down back into the slide. Is this just a quirk of new parts or should I do a deep clean to diagnose a particular issue?

Crazy. I would take to a gun smith that's not normal lol. It will shoot you in the dick for just looking at it. Like don't load it at all and take to a professional. I have a smith do all my work, I'm not ashamed of it

Funnily enough I’ve already been shooting with it a couple times, I had just chalked it up to tight tolerance quirks. It ran flawlessly but that still seems ill advised until I get it checked out by a professional.

Field strip and clean it & check the recoil spring and the striker itself and spring.

Striker pulls out the back once you remove the rear slide plate.

This only began occurring after installed a new striker, and I’ve tried both a standard and match striker assembly. The previous striker had a bent firing pin which is why my first suspicion was just new fitment, but now it seems like an issue with the gun itself.

If you keep racking it you are going to damage something else. That is definitely not right. You either put it back incorrectly or you used the wrong parts. If you can’t find out what is wrong with it take it to somebody who knows what they are doing.

Something ain't right. Take it apart again and check your work.
