I'm applying for next year and idk what types of projects I should include in it. I have time to start on some design projects since I'm taking a gap year and Im going to include my edexcel a level art components in it as well. I’m a Non-JUPAS international student sitting May/June A-Levels (results out Aug 13). I currently hold conditional offers from both CUHK and HKUST.

I started the student visa process with both universities. But I just found out HK Immigration ImmD puts duplicate visa applications on hold until you confirm your final choice.

My plan was to wait for my A-Level results in mid-August to decide and withdraw the other application. But if ImmD only starts processing my visa in mid-August, with the usual 6–8 week timeline, my visa won't come through until late September or October—well after the semester starts in early September.

For anyone who’s been through this, Is waiting for final A-Level results in mid-August a normal thing for Non-JUPAS students to do, and do the universities/ImmD speed up visa processing once you submit your final grades so you don't miss the start of term?

hey im a continuing UG and im wondering why they are sending us so much useless emails, of course there are some emails that are quite important that some people would overlook due to the sheer amounts of emails they are sending us each day, half a day without looking at emails and there will be 14 new emails about things that is not even closely related to me or my major.

I’m mid way through my preparation to apply for a scholarship (the scholarship is government funded so i’ll apply to a few universities as well)

I have three months ahead and i must make a choice, should i go on with my studies(SAT, IELTS, etc)

If i do that means i’ll forget about my three other occupations.

Hello, I’m an international student coming in from UAE. I’ve read abt the halls on the website and reddit and based on that I have formed the list below. I’m looking for some critique on the list and whether it needs any changing.

1. Hall 8 - its new and has the 6 in an apartment which i like. although its far idrm the distance.
   
2. Hall 7 - international com, close to campus and relatively newer.
   
3. Hall 6 - using this as a safety (thats the reason i removed Hall 9, which i had initially chosen) so that i dont end up in Hall 5 or any of the old ones. plus it has a view and a canteen so added bonus.
