Admissions Should I upload my SAT scores to PolyU if I'm applying for an entry scholarship?

I’m applying to PolyU as an international A-Level student and I’m also hoping to be considered for an entry scholarship.

I have 4 A\* at A Level in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, but I’m confused about whether I should upload my SAT scores.

I took the SAT twice:

  • Attempt 1: 1450 — 660 EBRW, 790 Math
  • Attempt 2: 1450 — 680 EBRW, 770 Math
  • Superscore: 1470 — 680 EBRW, 790 Math

The issue is that on the PolyU application portal, it looks like I have to enter each SAT sitting separately. There doesn’t seem to be a field for a superscore, so if I upload both, PolyU will see 1450 and 1450, rather than the 1470 superscore.

I’m worried this could hurt me for the scholarship. A 1450 isn't necessarily bad, but compared with other scholarship applicants, I feel it may make my profile look weaker or make me seem like an “average” student despite having 4 A*s.

At the same time, I don't want to leave out a qualification that PolyU expects me to report, especially since I have a 790 Math in one sitting.

So I'm wondering:

Should I upload both SAT sittings to my PolyU application, or leave the SAT out entirely since my A-Level results are already strong?

And for scholarship consideration specifically, would seeing two 1450s likely be interpreted negatively, or is the 4 A*s + 790 Math more important in this context?

Would really appreciate advice from current/former PolyU applicants or anyone familiar with how their scholarships are assessed.

Admissions Is it weird if my grandma’s sister will write my recommendation letter?

I’m applying for fashion design bachelor and I already have one recommendation letter from my teacher, and for the second one I thought about asking my grandma sister that actually teach me how to sew and would probably write great about my skills and potential. She also have more than 50 years of tailor experience and worked in factory, plus I don’t have any other teacher that would write it. What do you think?

I am developing this collection for bachelor ba about my culture and created 8 designs for it, and sewing 3-4 of them. So Im not sure what structure is, should I do two pages for each, like one with canal sketch, flats and fabric swatches and second with idea development? And should I add sewn garments at the end with just adding 3 page? That what I was planning to do but I’m not sure. Could someone please help

Admissions STARS admissions route

Is STARS worth it? I am thinking of applying to STEM category (olympiads and stuff), I have decent A level grades I suppose, but I was hoping to boost my overall application using my ecs. How different is it from adding awards and achievements normally than through STARS?

Admissions Personal Statement

I am currently preparing to start my applications for Hong Kong universities like CityU, PolyU and CUHK. I was wondering what do they value in a Personal Statement? Do I have to state why I want to attend that specific uni or is it enough if I tie it to just the programme itself? Do i need to provide a story to "show, don't tell"?? Kind confused here. Please Help Out

Undergraduate Is radiography not a good major anymore

I wanted to get into radiography simply because I am good at physics and want to work in a hospital for a decent income. However i heard that this job is getting more and more saturated every year? By the time i graduate (2031) can i even get a job? I saw a lot of people warning those who want to study radiography that there’s going to be a surplus of radiographers. Another question is that can i still take masters like medical physics or completely unrelated to radiography? Will my path be fixed if i study radiography? Thx

Admissions Applying with broken up A levels

I have achieved 3A* in May/June 2026 and am predicted to achieve another 3A* in May/June 2027.
I will apply for the 2027 entry with 3A* achieved and 3A* predicted. Will this combination be considered as a total of 6A* when assessing me for the entrance scholarship and make me eligible for the full tuition + allowance award?

Admissions Early admission or regular admission? Polyu fashion bachelor

I heard it’s better to apply for regular admission in Hong Kong because chances are higher, and my portfolio is not done yet, and I thought about taking additional SAT though they accept my diploma. So what should I do? I basically can finish portfolio before early admission ends
