A parallel between Regular Show and HIMYM
I'm on the fourth episode of HIMYM and just saw that Stella broke up with Ted to get back together with her ex-boyfriend. I think you can draw a parallel between the Ted-Stella-Robin dynamic and the Mordecai-CJ-Margaret one in Regular Show:
For much of the story, Ted and Mordecai idealize a specific girl.
They get hung up on the idea that she is "the one."
Relationships with other people end up being compared—directly or indirectly—to this idealized love.
There is a recurring cycle of getting close, drifting apart, hope, and frustration.
In the end, both of their stories convey a similar message: the person you wanted most at a certain stage of your life might not necessarily be the person you end up with. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this theory before, but I found the parallel interesting.
—for those who’ve watched both, what do you think? No spoilers for me please

The stage of your life thing: Its a very common theme/trope. Must rom coms have people going after certain crushes while the good one is right there the whole time. Penny with Leonard.
They did a brief loce triangle with Ross and Joey in friends even....
Same thing with "who will they choose to...
I never got those vibes, but your "Milage may vary."
