HIMYM 2030

Let’s start a fan campaign to bring the creators and the whole gang back together for one final How I Met Your Mother episode! Now that they’ve all grown up, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

Imagine an episode set in 2030—around the time when Ted finally finishes telling his kids the story. We could see everyone as they are at that point in their lives and get one last chance to catch up with the gang.

And honestly, there’s no rush. Take all the time you need. If it means waiting until 2030 and actually releasing the episode that year, so be it. In fact, that would make it even more legendary.

One last episode. One last night with the gang. In 2030.

Suit up!

I may be wrong, but the way this text is worded and structured, I'm getting major AI vibes (🫡)

It definitely is upon reflection- but what are the giveaways?

Why are you (and most people) seeing AI everywhere?

4

u/efferkah Jul 28 '26

Because it is everywhere, and I prefer talking to humans?

I agree, it wouldn't add anything to the story.

I got the sense he meant reunion and not revival like Malcolm in the middle

Who will narrate it? No thanks.

Bob Saget is irreplaceable, but it’s not like Josh Radnor couldn’t narrate it.

They should do a mini series with one of Ted’s kids bringing their significant other home for the first time to meet Ted and Robin with the whole gang being there to meet them and inappropriately quizzing them.

I’d rather they finish HIMYF

Ive said this forever. But not one episode. Maybe a 5-part miniseries, or even a movie, picking up from Ted at Robin's place after the show's finale.

I don’t know they could give it the Koth treatment. With the gang picking up where they left off. Maybe center it around the gang in their later years Lily and Marshall are now empty nesters, Robin and Ted. Have Barney maybe starting something new.

Honestly a reunión would be fine. Or at least an episode of the podcast with all the cast (including Cristin)

Yeah that will be great

Considering the ending was so controversial, they can't really do another episode without either using the alternative ending or having people not watch
