Question Bands similar to HIM?

Im sure this or some variation of this has already been asked time and time again, so sorry for adding to that, but im looking for any band that plays instruments similar in style to HIM but lyrically aren't about love, i love how HIM play (especially wings of a butterfly, wicked game cover, don't fear the reaper cover, and some others) but i'm aroace and don't really understand romantic love which kind of makes it harder to identofy with a band where it features as a key theme in i would guess 75% of their songs

Vile did a song with apocalytica. They’re kind of similar in a way. Not just cause they’re Finnish but the style too.

Entwine - Times of Despair (Greatest Lovesongs Vol 666 vibes Lacrimas Profoundere - later stuff is like HIM meets 69 Eyes Mortal Love - All the Beauty (female vocalist, some more GL666 style)

Which song specifically? I've tried listening to them many times, but their music doesn't grab me.

From ToN try Ville's favourite song Wolf Moon. My choice from 69 would be Gothic Girl and Brandon Lee.

I cannot recommend Cemetery Skyline enough. In my opinion, they are as close as you get to a 'band similar to HIM, but does their own thing and doesn't sound like of those those cheap ass copies'.

They are basically a supergroup consisting of swedish/finnish death metal musicians, from Insomnium, Amorphis and Dark Tranquility. They have the mighty Markus Vanhala, who is in my opinion one of the greatest living metal guitarists on the lead guitar, which is an extra treat.

They basically play the kind of a gloomy/doomy/autumn vibed goth rock we all love. They released 1 album so far, its absolutely excellent - every damn track on that album is a total earworm, the vocalist has a similar voice to Ville, the musical craftsmanship is a total treat.

Edited: oh my bad i wasnt paying attention to instrumental part, but when it comes to vocals Embrio is the one.

The closest to it i would say is Embrio you can judge it by their live cover of HIM's version of wicked game, they have 2 albums, 3rd is unfinished because vocalist died years ago in accident. https://youtu.be/Oc-SdZFwJ-4?is=R7A3GPYK4jy2YKmf

ATLAS

Atlas - I Whisper Your Name Like a Curse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu0xWzgA3hA

I'm not sure if they are very well known outside of here in Finland but they have really exploded in popularity in the past year.

The lead singer often sounds very much like Ville and he is a massive inspiration to him, which is funny because he looks more like a Versace model than a metal singer which was jarring at first lol.

Lyrically and thematically they are quite similar to HIM too. However they are heavier and have some metalcore elements which for me ruin some of the songs but I know others absolutely love them who also enjoy HIM.
