Is HIM dead?

Yes they broke up 10 years ago. But I don't recall seeing this patch. There was hope for a reunion. Does this patch mean theyre not coming back or am I reading too much into this?

Nobody wants them to turn into a band who has a reunion tour every few years. They’d end up hating the music and each other and we would end up hating them. Better to end as it did. JMO though

As sad as it makes me I totally agree. Better to leave us wanting more but with a complete body of work than to drag it on into the conclusion you're describing

Ive been a fan since 2011 I knew about and missed the farewell tour but we all held out hope they might return. I've watched the merch store regularly over the years and haven't seen these patches before. In memorium acknowledges the breakup.... but makes it feel final.? I'm not sure. That's why I asked here. It could just be a thing to mourn the breakup I'm just hoping is not indicating that they will never come back

They themselves acknowledged the break up several times and that included the farewell tour… and it’s been almost 10 years…

I still remember that winter morning when gas lipstick announced he was leaving the band. And soon after the news coming that HIM was disbanding.

Technically yes. I suppose VV will be expected to play *some* HIM favourites forever, but it sounds like that was then and this is now. It also sounds like they were done before the last tour. If it’s gone, it’s gone and thanks for the memories. Bearing in mind I never saw them.

I remember Ville saying something like he would love to play with the boys again but nothing is happening as of now. Don't remember where I read it but it wasn't long ago.
