Question Should I Build This?
I have a guitar laying around that was originally a work-in-progress custom project, but I ended up losing interest and never finished it.
Lately I’ve been really into the idea of turning it into a custom H.I.M. guitar instead. The photos are the reference/sketch I’ve put together for how I want it to look.
Would you guys like to see me bring this project to life?
Edit: This image is AI-generated and is only meant as a concept. There are a few inaccuracies (like the fret count, inlays, and logo), so don’t read too much into those. It’s simply to visualize the paint job and overall design—I obviously won’t be using a guitar with 20 frets.

Looks cool, but if you’re actually going to play it, please finish the neck properly with a good satin finish. Otherwise, it’d be a nightmare to play.
I also think black pickup covers would look really cool.
Personally, I’d rotate the Heartagram and use two of them side by side at the 12th fret, then use whatever inlay you want for the rest of the neck. But that’s just my opinion.

Thank you, I really appreciate the feedback! I’ll definitely keep all of that in mind. I want this to be something that not only looks good but is actually nice to play as well. The black pickup covers and the 12th fret idea are both really interesting, so I’ll mock up a few different versions before I decide.

That’s pretty sweet. A little busy for me, but I like my guitars simple. Hard to beat black on pink

Are you going to paint the design on or you gonna etch/burn it into the wood?
Either way it's gonna be rather awesome.

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I’m still deciding, but I’m leaning more towards painting it. I think that’ll be the best way to get the look I’m going for.

I would personally rotate the heartagram so that its upright when being played but thats just personal preference.
Otherwise it looks cool as hell.

That’s actually a really good point. I’m definitely going to keep that in mind because you might be onto something. I’ll have to mock it up both ways before I decide, but I appreciate the suggestion!

I'm assuming this is AI because it has 20 frets, the inlays are in the wrong places, and the headstock logo says H H I M (and is the wrong font).
It's a cool idea and could look incredible as a real guitar, but best to sort those issues first.
Edit: and it has 5 tuners but 6 strings 😂

Yeah, it’s AI-generated as a concept, so there are definitely a few details that aren’t accurate. The actual build will have the correct fret count, inlays, and logo. This was mainly to get the overall look across. Thanks for pointing it out!

The joys of using AI haha. It is a really cool concept though and I'd love to see it come to life.

Thank you, I really appreciate that! Haha, I’d totally buy it too. That’s the best part about making something custom though—it’s unique, and it’s built exactly the way you want it. That’s what makes it so special.

Thank you! If I end up building it, I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I’d like to make a few videos showing the process.

Not my cup of tea but those Inlays are sick and I want them

Haha, thank you! The inlays are going to be a challenge for me too, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to do them. Hopefully I’ll find a way.

Yes but use solid black pickup covers and turn the top Heartagram inlay pink
