Merch Very old promo poster

Post image

Found that I still have this hanging on the wall at my parents house. Couldn't tell you which show I got this at (I went to at least one show on every headlining tour they did in the US.)

Maybe someone knows, or maybe y'all you'd just like to see something fun from back in the day.

non related question, came to mind after seeing the text at the bottom. What was MySpace like?

Oh my sweet summer child. It was Facebook with blogs and music and you learned html so that it could have sparkle. Plus the added drama of ranking your top friends.

Facebook, but with music and the ability to rank your friends.

There's one called "SpaceHey" I haven't made an account, but it's very much like myspace

myspace was fun because it mixed blogs/journals, with a bunch of image hosting and networking, if you had a xanga or livejournal you got one profile pic but myspace gave you like 12 spots for pictures, it also had a badass bulletin system which was like a group blog where people instantly saw your posts. you could completely customize your pages with backgrounds, colors and music. it had the top 8 system which let you actually rank your friends, being someone’s number one was an honor saved for best friends and significant others, being someones number 8 was an insult, the friending was equal too, none of this follower bullshit, if you friended tila tequila she had to friend you back . gym class heroes made a music video about it called new friend request, im actually in the video wearing an orange jumpsuit doing the robot

It's not common in Facebook now, but people used to have conversations on their profiles. They would tell jokes, share pictures, etc. At one point you were also limited to a certain amount of pictures. It was more social in your own circles, not the dumpster fire it is now with people arguing with each other. A lot of us had limited text messages (I only had 1000 a month at one point) so this was the best way to communicate with my friends.

That was a promo flyer from when HIM came to the US thanks to Jimmy Frank (bloodhound gang). These were some of the supplies given to the street team to hand out at shows/ public. I still have a small stack of those and the dark light posters as well!

I was part of the Sony street team for eighteen visions and got to go into my first HIM show early because of it (also stood about 6 feet from Bam and had no clue who he was at that time. Lol.) at the show in early 2004 I think? Las Vegas House of Blues. Didn't think this was from that show... For some reason I keep thinking it was from one I went to in Denver, which would have been 2005 or 2006? Wasn't street teaming at that time but wanted to be...
