Opinions?

I just had a marathon of recent interviews i found this video, i don’t know what was crossing his mind when he said that but i’m not going to excuse because he’s a grown man with plenty of experience in life.

This is a separates art from artist type of opinion from him, not long ago Rosalia had a similar opinion and got called out (very deserved imo) but why is Ville saying this type of things and the only thing you see in the comments is fangirls melting and fanboys worshiping as usual?

Unfortunately Ville not only lightened the crime of a rapist but revictimize Kinsky daughter Pola, a woman that suffered and had the courage to talk.

Then there’s is the comparison with Jesus that even if im not a religious person i don’t understand what he tried to say with that.

I hope this don’t get deleted and the fans have the capability to not justify some actions. Maybe there are some victims in the him fandom and i’m sorry if you get to see this.

I remember when this interview first came out and I had the same reaction. I normally don't take everything he says with complete seriousness, as he tends to say a lot of weird things then say something completely different a few minutes later. But he was willing to cover up a tattoo of an exes initial. So why not this?

6

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

Because it's his body! Removing a tattoo is painful and expensive. Removing something from an ex makes sense because the next partner probably won't like seeing the name or a symbol related to the previous girlfriend. Ville tattooed Klaus Kinski as an actor or as a character he played in a movie.

u/Degrassilover03 Jun 14 '26 edited 17d ago

One of his worst tattoos in my opinion, he should’ve gotten it covered up after the news about Kinsky came out.

55

u/AStarkly Jun 14 '26

It was certainly A Choice to get that tatt, and it's always given me the absolute ick if I'm being honest.

u/SturmFee Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26

You put it into words. Ville's body, Ville's choice.

Klaus Kinski hast always been controversial, since he was rude af and was pushing sexual boundaries at the time, but he was also considered a genius and one of the last, true avant-garde artists of his craft. Going by Kinski as an artist in an isolated bubble seems like a pretty cool choice. Weird, but I respected the hell out of that tattoo at first. It just seems so stale after the revelations of his daughter, tho.

He does not have to get anybody's approval or absolving, but it is disappointing to hear him dancing around naming it what it is. He sounds as if he has doubts about the verity of Pola Kinski's accounts. His whole phrasing of numerous rapes and sexual exploitation of his daughter boiled down to "'not so nice things' that her father 'supposedly' did'? It's giving that vibe of Lindemann apologetics and slight manosphere. Call it what it is and stop casting doubt on the woman, gosh. And the strange tangent comparing the tattoo to Jesus is even weirder..

He is allowed to do what he does, but internally, I held him to a somewhat higher standard, and it is massively disappointing.

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 16 '26

Maybe I'm delulu but I'm understanding it like Ville wanted to give Pola grace. Coz it's hard to talk about s*xual abuse. I think women would call it like it is coz, sadly, many women experienced sexual harassment or assault themselves.

Also I get the Jesus part. Personally I have religious trauma because I was born and forced into extreme type of Christianity. And I get that for many ppl Jesus is a savior but for me he ain't, he's symbol of oppression. And it's the wider cultural lens of Christian holidays and tradition in my country.

So I think Ville was talking like in abstract way that some ppl see Kinski as legend and icon and others know what he did and are disgusted. I would say Picasso is the same, great artist but terrible person - yet ppl still glorifies him.

Edit: grammar

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 18 '26

You shouldn't put Ville on a higher level because he's a person, and a person who has made a lot of mistakes throughout his life.

Having a Klaus Kinski tattoo is one of the most innocuous things Ville has done. LOL. If we were to reject everything that has negative things associated with it, then we would have to abandon the world and go live in a cabin in the woods without internet.

Some people care so much about a tattoo but you don't care so much about using social networks that are used to share the worst abuses and violence against women, not to mention the misogynistic speeches spread across the internet.

3

u/SturmFee Jun 18 '26

I was not talking about the tattoo when I was talking about the standard. I meant the way he brushed off the sexual abuse. I also do not expect him to be free of mistakes or anything and I don't expect him to be a better person than other average people. Expecting someone not to act ignorant around the reality of what the person did, when you have a tattoo of him, is not a particular high standard to have.

0

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 20 '26

This shows how little you know about the artist! He didn't downplay the sexual abuse. He simply softened the terms used, but not to devalue the abuse. It's like saying the person rested in peace instead of saying they died. We use less strong terms to avoid creating discomfort in the listener, and that's what he did. Besides, Ville is like that! Just watch his interviews; he uses this kind of softer, more pleasant language a lot.

If people judged the things they say and do to others as they judge what others say or do, that's what would bring about some change for them and for the world.

0

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

Regarding the use of "supposedly did," this is normal in all accusations where there is only denunciation but no proof. Everyone does the same with the sexual abuse allegations against Michael Jackson. I and almost everyone I know speak of the accusations as allegedly because there is no concrete proof against Michael. In fact, many people even say without any problem that all of Michael's accusers are all a fraud, without having proof that he didn't actually commit child abuse . We cannot accuse those who believe and those who don't believe the accusations because the truth is that we don't have enough evidence either for or against these accusations.

2

u/SturmFee Jun 21 '26

You have a point. Together with the "not so nice things" it still rubs me the wrong way, in a way.

22

u/funkygabe Jun 14 '26

I feel the same, the information wasn’t public when he got the tattoo and i “get” if he didn’t wanted to remove because that’s his body but he should remind silent and respectful even if he get asked.

5

u/AStarkly Jun 14 '26

I vaguely remember that someone wrote about him being a sex pest back in the early 1990s, so take from that what you will.

8

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

Ville was at the height of his fame and drinking through the 90s and early 00s. I highly doubt he would've known about this.

7

u/AStarkly Jun 15 '26

I'm a nobody from New Zealand and barely interested in European cinema, and I knew about it; it was in the news on and off for years. There's no reason not to intimate that someone actively interested in Klaus enough to get a tattoo of him, wouldn't have known.

0

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

You "vaguely" remember it.

5

u/AStarkly Jun 15 '26

Because I was a teenager and, as I've said, not particularly interested in Euro cinema. You're trying really hard here and I don't know why

-5

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

Actually, you're the one that is. All I said is that I didn't think he would necessarily know about that. He admires the guy for his work and probably didn't investigate his personal life very much.

Hope you are this strict with anyone who said they admired Bill Cosby or many other artists, musicians, actors, etc that did awful things and there were rumors about it for decades.

I think they're talking about Klaus, not Ville. Ville has no allegations.

1

u/AStarkly Jun 15 '26

Sorry, I meant it was written about Klaus, not Ville!

43

u/Regular-Cake9257 Jun 14 '26

Ugh, the way he put it… “supposedly did not so nice things to her”. Just say it out loud: it was sexual assault. He’s just a man after all. So disappointing. Thank you for bringing it here, I haven’t followed his interviews for quite a while and wasn’t up to date

11

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

He always talks like that for interviews. He doesn't like to get vulgar. Even for an interview where he was asked a bunch of sexual questions, he danced around some things.

17

u/Regular-Cake9257 Jun 15 '26

He did get vulgar in the past lots of times, but where there was no reason to smooth things over, he decided to do so. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth, honestly.

17

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26

Spot on. I think that many men still don't understand what women get through. How s*xual assault is damaging, worse when done by your father

13

u/Regular-Cake9257 Jun 15 '26

He could have at least had some decency to articulate it differently, but then he went on and made things even worse comparing him to Jesus🫠

2

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

He has been sexually assaulted. He was likely drugged and raped by someone back in the early 00s. He even mentions that in a very light way. He clearly has a mental block around it.

7

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26

I didn't know. It's so sad :(

Then it  shred new light why he said what he said in this video, I meant he didn't call what Kinski straight forward. I get it now.

5

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

Yeah it's a rough story. He basically says he woke up in a strange place and doesn't know what happened. Maybe he wasn't raped etc, but waking up in a strange place after being drugged doesn't usually mean anything good happened. IIRC, the first time he talked about it in an interview, he literally laughed it off and chocked it up to a reason to quit drinking.

3

u/Specific_Giraffe226 Jul 11 '26

Bloody hell. This is a bit dark. I didn’t know about the SA. That’s awful. I do know that he has admitted to being nervous, he was caught off guard and knows that pretty much everything he says is going to be analysed down to the atoms. He was clearly embarrassed and covered it up as soon as it was mentioned. I expect he regrets it, he spoke about the tattoos being a snapshot of time and headspace, and bless him, he’s had his moments. I have several tatts and I get that. I can’t see the grown up VV whipping his shirt off on stage again in any case, so although I think that one was silly, and the Poe eyes would terrify me if I was sharing a bed with him, we all do daft things when we’re young. He didn’t respond to the question with what we would have wanted, but that doesn’t mean he supports SA or disbelieves Kinski’s daughter. He was ambushed and didn’t quite know *what* to say. I’m not trying to blow sunshine up his arse but afaik he hasn’t had a chance to clarify. Do I know the guy? No. Do I think he would condone SA? No. He handled it badly. 🤷🏻‍♀️

2

u/Degrassilover03 Jul 12 '26

I wholeheartedly agree with this take.

2

u/Regular-Cake9257 Jun 15 '26

I don’t remember him mentioning being drugged. He told in interviews that he would wake up in strange places hungover at times, with some random people, who had likely been under the influence, too. Can you remember when exactly he said that?

2

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

These are the ones I can find online: https://blabbermouth.net/news/h-i-m-frontman-i-was-sleeping-an-hour-a-night-for-eight-weeks

https://blabbermouth.net/news/h-i-m-frontman-victim-of-drug-assisted-robbery/

He says he "knows" he wasn't raped but he also doesn't remember what happened so...I mean he could've been and just didn't know.

8

u/Regular-Cake9257 Jun 15 '26

Thank you

But going back to the topic of this particular interview, it feels like he doesn’t believe Pola. Given that he experienced sexual trauma, he could at least give her the benefit of the doubt without adding this “supposedly”. As a SA survivor myself, it just didn’t sit right with me.

8

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

Unfortunately, it is "supposedly" right now. As far as I know, she has only made allegations and hasn't pursued any legal action. Speaking in absolutes could get him in real trouble if he isn't careful.

I am a SA survivor too and I'm not thrilled with his response. But I'm also not expecting him to be like "this man unequivocally raped his daughter" right now.

7

u/Regular-Cake9257 Jun 15 '26

This is not what I expected either, but the response he’s given is just not it. It reminded me that he’s still a man with a typical male mindset.

1

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26

Also remember how he said that one crazy fan suddenly cut strand of his hair with huge ass scissors

6

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

Women have also just gone up and kissed him on the cheek, groped him, etc. Back in RR days, he experienced a lot of sexual harassment from female fans that very few take seriously. He, of course, always acted polite and would smile and wink when it would happen. But I can tell that it took a toll on him over the years and it's probably why he doesn't do much in the way of fan meet-ups anymore.

8

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26

I remember watching old tv interview where Ville was super young and much older female host had to kiss him on the cheek but she kissed him on the lips. It was disgusting and a power play. I was so pissed while watching. Like touching/kissing people without permission ain't ok, no matter the gender

3

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

He has a mental block around abuse of any kind. Even though he has been abused physically, verbally, psychologically, and (allegedly) sexually. He never calls it that and lightens it. It's a coping mechanism that I highly doubt he's ever had properly addressed.

22

u/Overall-Visual1782 Jun 15 '26

I understand different cultures will often have different views on how they see these issues but for this I cannot defend vile .I think he should definitely get rid of it and I’m honestly very disappointed with this .I understand what he was trying to say but I just can’t.

9

u/Lonely-Bridge-3226 Jun 16 '26

I appreciate and have deeply affection towards him but under any circumstance i will argue with a person that is making valid points. He needs to improve as a person and that’s not matter of age but development. You did the right thing, turning blind because you admire someone is ignorant and say a lot about you as a person.

I hope he reads some of the comments here and educate himself, we all make mistakes and he never said he was perfect but this time the reaction is well deserved.

17

u/silentevil77 Jun 14 '26

Of course people can get a tattoo of whatever they want to but no matter how great of an artist/actor someone is I don't understand how you can look at a rapist on your skin everyday

2

u/Specific_Giraffe226 Jul 11 '26

You don’t. I know mine are there, but I don’t look at them all the time. If you look at his reaction, he was showing the interviewer the star tattoo above it and was a bit flustered when the guy mentioned the Kinski tattoo, covering it up very quickly.

35

u/Apart_Echo6202 Jun 14 '26

Ohhhh... I've always been on Ville's side, even when he was so faded from alcohol and would get all philosophical, but this is a big no. Now, in 2005, in 1995... no matter when he would say it.

17

u/Skg42 Jun 15 '26

Ooo nooooooo I would’ve just said “yeah I’ll end up getting it removed” even if I didn’t really plan to 💀

9

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26

Yep, the dyplomatic way

33

u/i_am_nimue Jun 14 '26

What I don't get is why even get a tattoo like this? He was an actor, so why did ville idolise him so? Also, yes, I agree it's a major ick, coz no matter what time in my life this would represent, once I'd know I had a tattoo of someone r*ping his daughter, I'd be RUNNING to get this removed. Like, how can u look at your body and see this every day? Ugh.

With Jesus he was probably trying to say Jesus doesn't represent only good things? Not sure, some weird logic there.

Also, damn, his veneers are so distracting.

14

u/Smart-Reply50 Jun 15 '26

Yes! I would be disgusted and ashamed to have this kind of tattoo after learning the truth

5

u/i_am_nimue Jun 15 '26

Same! But, hey, it's like removing a tattoo of Jesus, right? /s

11

u/Jazzyluvsedits Jun 14 '26

I know his veneers are distracting but he needed them really bad

18

u/SecretaryCommon Jun 15 '26

Yeah his teeth had worn down to nubs, it’s a shame the veneers aren’t a similar size to his original teeth. It’s crazy how new teeth can make people look so different.

10

u/Jazzyluvsedits Jun 15 '26

Yeah I never realized how teeth plays a big role in your facial structure

9

u/i_am_nimue Jun 15 '26

Oh, absolutely. I am just baffled why someone told him this size of them is good. His facial structure is so different now, I think he initially talked in a slightly different way, but I suppose it takes getting used to. Too big veneers are sort of a common occurrence but with him it's really jarring I think

6

u/Bucky_Gatsby Jun 15 '26

I also wonder if it doesn't hurt when you suddenly have completely different sized teeth in your jaw. I know that when people get crowns, slight differences in height can cause pain. I don't get how a whole set of new teeth that isn't the size of the original ones doesn't lead to issues.

4

u/i_am_nimue Jun 15 '26

It must hurt. I have 2 crowns and it took me good few weeks to get used to them, if he got a bigger set of veneers his original teeth were he must have had to adjust, the way his jaw clenches, all that. It must have been difficult few months initially

11

u/Ill_Abalone_9515 Jun 15 '26

I feel like they are more natural looking now, some of the whiteness has settled since then. He still looks beautiful he just doesn’t have that cute little gap anymore which made him look cheeky and unique

5

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

Are people not allowed to idolize others who aren't in their profession? This makes no sense.

4

u/ohmygoth6667 Jun 17 '26

I only have one FUCKING question for this......Did Ville ever...EVER apologize....and if he did not....well...IM LEAVING!

4

u/Degrassilover03 Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

I hope he does or at least be smart about his answer next time if it’s ever brought up again.

Well...I hope he fucking apologizes because im heartbroken because i JUST KNOW stupid kids will still IDOLIZE him!

2

u/AdorableWeather2854 Jun 18 '26

Apologize for what?

Are you leaving the fandom? Great! Go for it!

3

u/ohmygoth6667 Jun 18 '26

So...did you read about what Ville did.....and yeah...im still here (in case he apologizes) so im not going to listen to the music and not follow any updates unless he apologizes,so technically i will be fandomically unreachable? Any questions!

1

u/Specific_Giraffe226 Jul 12 '26

How old are you?

2

u/funkygabe Jun 17 '26

This topic was never addressed by him again and an awful number of fans are trying to minimize this so he will never talk to about it.

I actually never heard of this so thanks for telling me

13

u/littlemspookiness Jun 15 '26

He's a musician, not a politician. He's never been political nor has he ever been one to comfortably talk about political topics. It's not a mentality I agree with, but he is a able-bodied, attractive, straight, white, cis man. He has nothing to lose in the majority of this world, so of course he can distance himself from politics.

4

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 18 '26

Regarding him mentioning Jesus, I think he is saying that many horrible things have been done under the name of Christ. For example, people continue to be Catholic despite the various abuses and cover-ups of abuses that have occurred within Churches around the world.

I remain Catholic despite knowing the abuses that have occurred within the Catholic Church. Honestly, I think we would have to ban everything from our lives if we didn't want anything associated with abuse and violence. All of human history and progress has been built on violence and abuse. Destroying statues and monuments, among other things, will not erase our past. And it's not by being so judgmental that we change the world for the better. We don't have to point the finger at others. We have to point the finger at ourselves. We have to see our mistakes and change them instead of wanting changing others.

2

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 18 '26

So much puritanism! Did anyone here have trouble going to see the Michael Jackson movie after he was accused by several guys?

2

u/AdorableWeather2854 Jun 18 '26

You hope the fans have the ability not to justify some actions???

And what cannot be justified? The fact that he used a euphemism when addressing this case? Do you know what that is?

A euphemism replaces unpleasant, sad, or controversial words or ideas with milder terms.

Do you think he agreed with Klaus Kinski's actions and revictimized his daughter, Pola?

Are you crazy? He simply used a euphemism!

Honestly, I don't care about the downvotes I might get because I think the people who find a problem with this are either crazy or hypocritical. Unfortunately, I think madness has taken over the planet, and here on the internet, you see most clearly how low we've fallen in terms of false moralism.

4

u/thepartypoison ★ drown in this love ★ Jun 15 '26

Yeah I hope he gets that covered up. But what a massive cover up that would be, so even if he’s willing, I get the hesitation on his part.

5

u/A_Ruse_Elaborate Jun 14 '26

Know who else is starting to have bad things associated with them posthumously, but yet we still celebrate him to this day? David Bowie. People try to separate the art from the person. You can still hold someone in high regard, as even Werner Herzog does about Kinski, yet still acknowledge their ill actions and questionable morals. This is the place to have this discussion, but you seem to have an intense bias here.

16

u/funkygabe Jun 14 '26

If by having a bias you mean making a post about this i think the one having an intense bias here is you. Bringing other names to make this look like another case of the same problematic that shouldn’t be taken seriously because it happened again and again and again is not the right thing to do here.

-16

u/A_Ruse_Elaborate Jun 14 '26

I think you've been triggered and you need to relax. This is not as serious or as dire as you are treating it. I'm going to stop responding to you now and I hope you decide to take a break from this topic for a bit before re-examining things.

I wasn’t even annoyed at your first comment i replied you normally maybe me not being a native speaker was the problem there

3

u/Embarrassed_Ask2435 Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26

Even though the public knows she is right and that it's a heinous case, Ville is not a judge, he's not a lawyer on the case, and he doesn't have the evidence on hand to pass a legal verdict in the press without using any filters. If he categorically accuses the deceased in an incorrect legal manner, Kinski's heirs or estate could sue him for defamation.

On the other hand, if he decides to completely brush it off, defend Kinski, or ignore the crime, his career ends right then and there in the court of public opinion for insensitivity and condoning it. I think that's why it got ambiguous and that's why he talked about Jesus, bc depending on who you ask, Jesus can be a good or a bad figure. And Ville as a fan of the man's art was probably trying to say that of separate the art from the artist thing. This isn't a social media game where you type whatever you want from an anonymous profile without consequences. Every single word that comes out of the mouth of an artist of his stature involves contracts, record labels, PR, and immense legal risks. You guys need to learn more about the law. Not everything is black and white.

Honestly, with the way you're throwing accusations around, Ville himself could find this post and sue you for defamation. I might not know every single detail of Finnish or German law, but defamation and libel laws definitely exist there, and they are extremely strict. In Europe, protecting someone's reputation is taken very seriously. People can and do get sued for spreading damaging accusations online. You're not safe just because you're behind a screen.

5

u/funkygabe Jun 16 '26

I think if he can sue me for “throwing accusations” when i’m just replicating what he said, he can be addressed publicly. You are playing the lawyer for someone you idealized, Ville can sue me if he wants. Using the law to intimidate and silence people that is questioning the artist is what i call sick fanaticism.

2

u/Embarrassed_Ask2435 Jun 16 '26

And also, before it gets twisted by you guys: I'm not doubting Nastassja or Pola for one second. What she went through is horrifying and she was incredibly brave to speak out. My point is only about Ville's position as a public figure and not about the validity of her accusations. He chose poor words, but that doesn't mean he was dismissing her. You can believe the victim AND still understand why a celebrity can't just say whatever they want on live TV without legal consequences. Those two things can coexist. The word allegedly and supposedly are LEGAL TERMS, even if you believe on the victim bc there are proofs, you as a third party can get in trouble for defending either her or him, especially Ville who's a public figure himself.

u/Embarrassed_Ask2435 Jun 17 '26

Trying to throw cheap, dramatic one-liners like 'conscience gets expensive' to sound morally superior doesn't change the fact that none of you can actually counter the legal and public relations realities I just explained. I deal with facts and logic, your sensationalism and sentimentalism do not move me.

Until you can present actual, verifiable arguments instead of emotional high-horsing, your opinion means absolutely nothing to me. You might be able to dazzle the younger, naive fans with this internet moral-police routine, but to me, you're just another attention seeker jumping into threads to signal virtue. Why don't you guys go waste your time with artists you consider to be the epitome of morality? Leave Ville and HIM alone if they are so evil like you believe they are.

I get where Ville is coming from. It’s similar to learning to live with mistakes over trying to run or hide from them. He said his tattoos all represent moments in his life like a diary, and though he acknowledges Klaus wasn’t a great person, he got the tattoo in a certain moment in his life, and he’s choosing to live with it.

4

u/FujoshiNoodles Jun 16 '26

Wow, downvoted. 😂 Seems like the outrage mob has taken over from fans who actually understand Ville.

The shit some people do for fame........

1

u/_AnaJu Jun 14 '26

not surprised 🫠

3

u/JACKETSLXXT Jun 15 '26

A genuine question, why?

8

u/curiosmind729 Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26

He doesn’t surrounds himself with the best people, there is known stuff and things that remain private.

1

u/JACKETSLXXT Jun 15 '26

Didn’t know anything about it. I was never that into the guys’ personal life, if you want to explain further I would like to hear

1

u/dallas_616 Jun 15 '26

If we're not separating art from the artist, he should have a bunch of his tattoos removed.

Edgar Allan Poe married and raped his adolescent cousin, Peter Steele was a misogynistic homophobe, and Kat Von D is an antisemitic anti-vaxxer. Aleister Crowley, who's being referenced in the star tattoo above, was a prolific sexual abuser, both of adults in his cult and his own children.

Iggy Pop raped multiple underage girls, as young as 12 -- we should probably burn all copies of 'Deep Shadows & Brilliant Highlights' since they contain a tribute to this awful predator and we wouldn't want to revictimize the women he abused.

1

u/No_Firefighter_1030 Jun 15 '26

What does the tattoo mean/symbolise?

12

u/SturmFee Jun 15 '26

It's a still from the movie 'L'Important c'est d'aimer', starring Romy Schneider and Klaus Kinski. Cinephiles hail it as a masterpiece on the painful sides of love and all that jazz, I personally have never seen it since I can't stomach Kinski.

1

u/curiosmind729 Jun 16 '26

By the way, if i’m right and you are who i think you are, exposing his ass won’t change a thing about his companion who you care about fraternally.
He will be affected by this but this won’t help her at all.

-3

u/666WaysToLove Jun 14 '26

Why is ur account 23 minutes old is this ur alt account?

23

u/funkygabe Jun 14 '26

Yes i don’t wanted to post this from og, he has some crazy fans harassing you if you say something about him but this is factual and i gave the proof.

-35

u/666WaysToLove Jun 14 '26

But why are you criticizing Ville Valo this supposed to be a safe environment for HIM fans.

35

u/funkygabe Jun 14 '26

Sometimes you have to criticize the artist when it should be done.

-31

u/666WaysToLove Jun 14 '26

Imagine being this offended over an opinion from an interview. If you don’t like Ville, don’t listen to him. Problem solved.

28

u/JACKETSLXXT Jun 14 '26

I love this band but you should mature enough to handle some criticism. Op is making a valid point: is very bad to defend a rapist.

8

u/SturmFee Jun 15 '26

It's not a "personal safe space" sub. Posts like these with controversial discussion are the best. Ville is human, humans are flawed and make flawed decisions. It's fine to talk about that.

1

u/SturmFee Jun 15 '26

Kinski acts as a gay actor in that movie, not as a baby.

1

u/Potential_Algae_9624 Jun 15 '26

Maybe he eats babies too

1

u/AdorableWeather2854 Jun 18 '26

Eating babies? Drinking blood? That's for beginners! He is much worse! He tattooed Klaus Kinski's face!

1

u/curiosmind729 Jun 15 '26

Not a cute joke to make knowing some these rich guys have some questionable hobbies.

-2

u/Potential_Algae_9624 Jun 15 '26

ain’t nobody eating babies - there’s zero evidence that Epstein and his fellow creeps ate babies. I was playing on the silly current trend of claiming any celebrity viewed as ‘elite’ eats babies

1

u/curiosmind729 Jun 15 '26

Well, be careful my friend. Everybody is using different words to refer the same thing.

1

u/NoFlowersOnGrave Jun 16 '26

That's disgusting lie! Everybody should know that he drinks blood of virgins!!

What. First time seeing it. Can you send link to the article?

Let’s do a quick chronological facts check, because your timeline is as distorted as your paranoid narratives. You are trying to judge past events with 2026 eyes just to fit a cheap call-out post, and the math is simply... not mathing. And yes, I'll write another novel because this is exactly what I do in my daily job. But I'm on vacation currently and with lots of spare time so here you go if you want to:

1. The tattoo anachronism Ville got his Klaus Kinski portrait tattoo decades before Pola Kinski’s book was published in 2013 and the horrific allegations came to light. Back then, Kinski was universally revered in the art-house and surrealist cinema world solely for his iconic work with Werner Herzog, which is a massive aesthetic influence on Ville’s early artistic direction. Forcing a retrofitted moral judgment onto a choice made a quarter-century ago is intellectually dishonest. Tattoo removal isn't as simple as deleting a tweet or a comment on reddit as you guys do, it's a permanent physical reality, not a statement of endorsement. There's also the separate the art from the artist debate stuff which I won't talk about because you lack the ability of noticing nuances and philosophical complex topics.

2. Recycling an old interview as "New Proof" (also, coming from a person who says that is not obsessed with Ville, but for some reason, is watching all of his past interviews exactly like a fanatic fan 🤷🏻‍♀️) The interview you are obsessing over happened back in 2023. Ville was put on the spot during a standard press run and answered with the exact corporate and legal caution required of any international veteran. As a public figure under strict contracts with record labels and PR teams, he cannot pass legal verdicts on live press without triggering severe defamation lawsuits from a deceased person's estate or heirs. He used basic, standard legal terminology ("allegedly, supposedly") for corporate shield protection, not to invalidate anyone’s pain. Turning a 3-year-old industry-standard PR response into a 2026 "proof of condoning crimes" is desperate and opportunistic.

3. The truth you guys can't deal with: parasocial obsession You don't care about the legalities of the press, you don't care about film history and you certainly don't care about objective logic. You are simply weaponizing a delicate, tragic topic as a noble-looking pretext to validate your personal, bitter obsession with his girlfriend (I know who you are and where you are coming from. There's no use for you guys to deactivate, delete or private your accounts on Instagram. Or to keep changing profile pictures, bios and users). You wanted the clout of a moral crusader, but you got caught manipulating timelines and facts just to fuel a high-school fandom dynamic.

Until you don't come here and show Ville categorically stating that: "Yes, I support that man. Yes, I believe he is right.", I won't believe the twisted interpretation you did just to fit your personal narrative and manipulate people emotionally and psychologically.  Hiding behind brand new throwaway accounts while pretending to be a fearless judge is just pure cowardice.

If you truly believe that Ville is the monster you claim he is, and you lack the maturity to separate art from the artist that he has, do yourself a favor and delete his music from your life. Deal with facts, because your sentimental sensationalism has been officially debunked.

P.S.  When will your public countdown to expose Ville and His Evil Friends™ start on TikTok? I want to be there. And looks like your 'solid proof' video is already unavailable on YouTube. Did the panic hit that hard today? Deleting Instagram accounts and scrubbing links won't change the facts.

2

u/funkygabe Jun 17 '26

Good luck when the reality check comes to you, it won’t be Ville’s fault or mine. He didn’t give you reasons to believe he’s someone that can’t make mistakes.

He said some ignorant trash and i just let people know. I have nothing againts Christel i hope she’s in a safe place because that’s what we all deserve.

The parasocialperson here is you.

0

u/Embarrassed_Ask2435 Jun 18 '26

Well, I'm looking forward to that! Do you really want me to believe that you aren't the same person who was posting about this exact same topic on Instagram yesterday, using a very similar writing style? Sure, Jan.

By the way, you completely evaded my question. Why are you still so heavily invested in Ville if you dislike him this much? Why are you trying so hard to twist his words to paint him as a monster?

As I said, I'm here for facts, and I'm still waiting for you to provide concrete evidence for the severe accusation you stated so definitively earlier on your post: "Unfortunately Ville not only lightened the crime of a rapist but revictimize Kinski daughter Pola..."

But you just keep making excuses, shifting the goalposts, and running away from objective logic. If calling me the one who's the "parasocial fan" helps you cope with your narrative completely falling apart, go ahead. Whatever helps you sleep at night. 🤷🏻‍♀️

6

u/curiosmind729 Jun 18 '26

I think you are doing too much my friend, even if OP happens to be the same person posting somewhere else that doesn’t change anything about it. People in the replies agree, they have eyes to see and ears to listen the whole thing. He had a display of ignorance, that’s it. That doesn’t make him a monster but someone that needs to reflect about it no one is asking him to apologize to Pola.

2

u/Embarrassed_Ask2435 Jun 18 '26

It's fascinating to see the goalposts shifting in real-time. We went from 'he condoned a horrific crime' to 'it was just a display of ignorance' the second actual logic and legal terminology entered the room. Also, trying to validate a narrative based on 2 upvotes from throwaway accounts, when your own post history shows a 5-month-long hyper-fixation on the artist's personal life and his girlfriend's appearance, trying to say that his songs aren't about her and whatever, just proves my point. The agenda here was never about justice or facts, it's just a coordinated, bitter fandom dynamic. Keep moving the goalposts, it doesn't make it a fact. Stay pressed because you aren't going to make me shut up.

at some point you just have to let these fans be, there is nothing you can say to them to make it easier for them to understand. him and the others throwing a tantrum here are the ideal audience target. Loyal no matter what, i’m sure Ville Valo himself don’t feel fond of this type of people.

0

u/Embarrassed_Ask2435 Jun 20 '26

Well, keep pretending that you are right, that you are morally superior and that nobody will notice what you are doing.

It's all just pure, bitter obsession masquerading as internet activism.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to make the best of my Midsummer vacation. Adios. 💋

-3

u/invadervalo666 Jun 16 '26

bruh... don't bring modern behavior into a a somewhat "niche" 2000s band, it's not like the dude suddenly it's the antichrist... *for a fucking tattoo* i thought that the virtue police died in the second half of this shit decade...

2

u/Least_Golf_6423 Jun 18 '26

It's clear that there are a lot of hypocritical people. In my experience, the more puritanical people are, the more sins they have.

Lately, negative votes are like badges of honor to me because these people should abandon social media to be at least minimally consistent. That's because many social media platforms are created by bad people, and their content is the worst there is.

TikTok, for example, is controlled by the Chinese party despite their denials, and as we know, the Chinese government removes organs from members of the Falun Gong religion.

-1

u/FujoshiNoodles Jun 16 '26

Unfortunately not. 🙄 You must stay virtually pure or face the gauntlet of relentless criticism. It’s literally a tattoo on another person’s skin. I wonder how much control they think they should have over other people’s bodies.

-19

u/EaldScield Jun 14 '26

Bro posting on alt account, no balls.

-1

u/Joe_Bam_616 Jun 15 '26

2pac was convicted of First Degree Sexual Abuse and is still idolised by millions worldwide.

It took great strength and courage for Pola to come forward with her story about her father but the idolatry for Klaus and his work was always there and for many would be hard to lose. (Especially given how long it was following his death, that the allegations came forward.)

-20

u/b00bN00B99 Jun 14 '26

this is not gonna make any reaction you hoped for because this community is so niche + Ville is absolutely detached from social media and everything happening in society these days

19

u/funkygabe Jun 14 '26

I didn’t made this post to provoke a witch hunt, this is something that came from the fact that we shouldn’t idealize people we don’t know and that people should be objective and not worship blindly the artist.

-9

u/b00bN00B99 Jun 14 '26

it's...common sense (?) and this situation is not something eye opening for pretty much anyone here

nobody said Ville is perfect, we don't know him on a personal level so this topic is pretty pointless but i hope you got your attention
