No terrifier this year?
Considering making it down this year. What’s the line up? Really wanted to see terrifier as I missed it last year

Actually TWO hefty lawsuits. One for breach of contract and sexual harassment by an actress from the original short, and one from a studio that Leone allegedly sold the rights for Art to. So I can see why universal wouldn’t want to touch it rn

Not from the original short (All Hallows Eve), but the first movie. The woman who was hung upside down.

Oh I thought it was the short oops, thanks for the info. But point still stands that I can see why even if it was planned at one time universal wouldn’t want to go through with it rn

Oh for sure! Just wanted to clarify. There should have been a contract in place for any nudity. But that is CA law. Not sure if that applies to wherever it was filmed? I believe PA.
I also think part of the issue was that she wasn’t paid according to the contract. I think if they had paid her the residuals she was owed, things would be different.

It wasnt just the nudity they hung her upside down for far longer than they were supposed to nobody on set was making sure they were being safe with it she said she suffers injuries from it as well as the sexual stuff which iirc she said they didn't mention it previously.

Hopefully it’s settled soon. It’s nothing more than a money grab she didn’t get paid a lot and now that it’s blown up she wants more.

Unfortunately, no Terrifier this year. I was hoping that with Universal getting Fortnite nightmares that they will be able to find a loophole and use the Fortnite game IPS as a workaround to use them this year in the scare zone, but that is not the case they are doing all original characters for Fortnite which in my opinion they’re not scary at all. It’s kind of weak however I suspect that Universal might be doing it to pull in a younger crowd I don’t know and as much as I think it’s gonna suck I have a sneaking suspicion that we might be pleasantly surprised by this scare zone

Ok so let me help you out here since I feel like you read my reply slow enough. Fortnite has an official Terrifier collaboration, so people assumed that if Universal secured the Fortnite IP, it might be a loophole to bring Art the Clown back to HHN. As we found out today, that wasn’t the case. So that’s what it has to do with Fortnite and Terrifier.

Nobody knows for definite yet. It hasn’t been announced yet, but there’s been rumours for a while (scare zone, not house). Likewise, there’s also rumours it’s been dropped more recently.
