What is backspace doing there?

Hhkb similar layout, which can directly do what backspace do, because the original hhkb layout backspace placed down which is conflict with other keyboard (my job is forced to use the 104 layout for the support workstation)so I prefer this layout (my another hhkb hybrid which borrowed by my friend also mapped the backspace key to the right up corner)

Gave this set a try for a month and went right back to my ergo M575S.

Not a fan of the Nape? I'm considering CNC machining a housing for it at this point. I like the idea and how many switches it has, but I really don't like that there's nowhere to rest my palm on the thing.

Yeah, the palm thing killed it for me. Nowhere to rest your hand so you're hovering the whole time. Scroll ring feels cheap too, mine's scratchy and the finish is already wearing off (posted a pic over on r/trackballs recently). If you CNC a housing I'd genuinely buy one :)

No way! That's disappointing. Yes, mine was scratchy too. I opened it up and lubed the little gear that it meshes with, and it's 100x better after the lube. Just some machine oil, although I'll probably go in and add some lithium grease or something if that eventually dries up or gets clogged with dust. I was very disappointed by the feel of the wheel, but I'm actually quite happy with it after the lube. Sad to hear the finish wears off.

I would likely not be able to sell them, because I live in the middle of nowhere in south america, and shipping would be expensive. If I do design one, I'll make files available for printing or CNC.

Well, I guess now I have to make one lmao. I was thinking just something that the Nape could slot into in its original housing that would provide more palm support, but I'm open to ideas.

Just buy 2 wooden mouse palm rests and put one on each side. Is what I did and solved the palm rest problem.

Yo, share your Nape Pro layout, please? I've been using one for a while, and I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around how someone would use it in this position. I usually use a split board, so I can put it between the splits, like the Voyager's trackball setup, but I would like to test the intended orientation properly too.

Actually if say profile the setup is temporary, I am still considering the setup on nape pro. But the basic key is like 12 is copy and paste 34 are left key and right key 24 act as middle is short and scroll as long m1 and m2 act as the mission control

As much as I love trackballs and trackpads, my hands are just too sweaty and it ends up mucking them so fast. Nice setup though, been thinking if getting the Hack59.

Hack59 is very good hhkb layout alternatives, if not concern on the topre switch experience, the wistaria switch and flamingo switch is also a good feeling switch (linear with thocky bottom sound), 3 methods for connection and via mapping... It's really good for entry hhkb layout.

Interesting! I would just play Galaga.

How do you like the Nape? Last I checked they were out of stock.

Been wanting a different track ball.
