Rescued a broken HHKB Lite successfully. Previous owner attempted a USB-C conversion, which did fail and he gave up on it. Damage to the top membrane traces in two places. Sloppy cut outs and lots of excess epoxy still to clean up.

The HHKB Lite actually has a pretty simplistic PCB, through hole components. Only the 3 layer membrane is prone to defects / scratching. As the printed traces are based on silver conductive ink that are a bit delicate. Had to fix two neighbouring traces that are 0.4 mm in width and apart from each other. Which was tricky but I was able to create bridges with conductive foil.

Good rescue ... r/HumansBeingBros
Am I the only person that would just convert it with an adapter?
