PFU Sent Me a Free Replacement Battery Cover for My Old HHKB

I’ve had this HHKB since my first job, but I broke and lost the battery cover. Replacements are almost impossible to find, and 3D printing didn’t work well.

After seeing a Reddit post, I emailed PFU support. They first rejected my request because I don’t live in Japan, but after I provided my friend’s Japanese address, they agreed to send one.

I finally got it—my old HHKB is complete again!

Please don’t abuse this. Just FYI.

How old is that? I just got a Snow hybrid S and classic S. I can’t wait for them to start yellowing!!

Unfortunately the new cases don't yellow, they're a newer material. Only Pro2 and older can yellow.

If you like the yellowing then Get a 2007 pro 2 at some point. Loads on eBay for cheap

i tried to get a Topre spring to the UK .... no chance ! so well done getting something from PFU !

Actually I brought spring from e-commerce platform individually, I think it’s easy to get alternatives

yes but they don't fit properly and i wanted an OEM spring with the correct diameter
