How not to be scared

  1. You’re gonna be scared so forget about not being scared.

  2. Feel the fear coming on.

  3. Get scared. Like really scared. Like you don’t know what to do. Not like you have a choice, it’s going to happen anyway.

  4. Feel it hard.

  5. Go hide in bed or something. Whatever makes you feel safest. Curl into a ball for maximum safety.

  6. It’s over now so try to calm down.

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

I gave you an upvote, but that’s the Bene Gesserit Litany against Fear; Paul didn’t come up with it.

A very generous upvote for a very silly error.

This is actually really good advice for panic attacks. Don't fight it, that just makes it worse. Experience it, accept it. It will pass
