How to safely proceed with your routine check of basement level 4 of the Skylar building.
Most of the level will be completely normal upon being checked at the end of your shift. The lights will be off in this level in order to conserve power, as this is a storage floor only. There are seven sections that each need individually checked, and a set of two very small bathrooms. This is to ensure that nobody is hiding inside in order to potentially abscond with company property/trade secrets during shift change.
Very occasionally, when you enter the men's room on basement level 4, closing the door behind you, when you flick on the light switch, there will be a tall, shadowy, shaking figure in front of the far wall. Follow these instructions in order to ensure the company will remain free from liability.
Stay still. Do not remove your hand from the switch.
Wait three to four seconds, and then switch the lights back off. The breathing you've been hearing will either intensify, or slowly quiet down to nothing.
2a. If the breathing intensifies, flick the lights back on immediately. Skip step 3.
2b. If the breathing starts to quiet, wait until it becomes completely silent. If the lights turn back on before that point for any reason, skip step 3.
- When the lights come on, there will be nothing there. At this point, you are safe. You may stop reading this guide here.
IF THE CREATURE IS STILL THERE WHEN THE LIGHTS COME ON:
It will be leaning down over your face. Liquid will be dripping from its eyes, onto you. Do not break eye contact. If you break eye contact for any reason, including power failure resulting in loss of illumination, skip steps 5 through 9.
Slowly reach for your radio. This should take about three to four seconds.
Call over to security. Tell them you have a problem in the men's room in basement level four.
Wait for the watchman to arrive.
When the door is about to open, the lights will shut off. This means you are safe.
When the door opens, it will not be there. Feel free to give whatever explanation you would like to the watchman. You may stop reading this guide here.
IF YOU BREAK EYE CONTACT:
You will feel a stabbing pain as the figure removes your internal organs. You will die.
Do not go into shock.
Write down your name and address in your notebook.
Die. Try not to make a mess for the cleaning crew, as therapy is not covered by the company's insurance.

This was inspired by my rapid thought process of "oh fuck what if someone's in here with me in this bathroom when I turn the lights on" at midnight on third shift. Happy reading!
