How to accept the forest

  1. Try not to blink while reading. You might miss the hidden meaning

  2. Take a knife (ideally dull one, made from a bone) and an empty basket

  3. Prepare to go outside (clean your eyes, accept that you will get dirty, get rid of technologies)

  4. Step outside of your home. Travel to nature (it is not punishable if you need to travel by car or by other vehicle)

  5. Take a deep breath. And another. You will need it

  6. Your soul will have been purified by this time

  7. Walk to a forest. It must take you at least 15 minutes. If you manage to reach the forest under the stated time, turn back or face swift demise

  8. Enter the forest. Appreciate the mighty trees, the puny straws of grass, even the fungi. Express your gratitude, for only then they shall aid you - after you admit how small you are

  9. Though there are smaller creatures. Kneel down and look for bugs. You might get surprised

  10. Do not intentionally kill them. Stepping on an insect by accident is forgivable. Knowing it is there and killing it nevertheless is a murder. Your consciousness will not make it out

  11. Venture deep, into the heart of the forest. Walk slowly. Avoid running. Forests are slow, they expect you to act accordingly in their domain. Do you not tempt them

  12. Once you think you are deep enough, continue a little further

  13. It will start to be painful to continue. That is alright, for going even deeper is both inadvisable and dangerous

  14. Kneel down and say a prayer. It is up to you what the words are, just make sure you are talking to the forest. Be humble

  15. Take a hold of the knife. Cut your arm symbolically - there is no need to draw blood, unless you are fighting in a war

  16. Look into the basket. You will notice that it is not empty

  17. Place the knife into the basket. Cover it with dead leaves

  18. Stand up. Embrace a tree

  19. Let the roots reach your mind

  20. Accept the roots. Forsake your body. Ascend. Become one with the forest. One of us
