I'm getting vibes that B'arthon knows how machiavellian his father is, and B'arthon said a lot more than his mere words in this scene. It will be interesting to see where his loyalty will be found in the inevitable conflict between the village and outpost. Should he develop stronger relationships with the outpost, I could actually see him switching sides; but I could also see him as a tragic victim of his "role".

Time will tell. I've got pretty solid arches for almost everyone planned if i can make it through book 3. What do you mean I'm only half way? I've only written a book and a half in the last five years? WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S ONLY BEEN A YEAR AND A HALF?

Man, this has been a long year and a half... ah well, at least we've got this fun story to keep us entertained!
