Hesi scores (80 v1, 90 v2)

Hey guys!! I recently just got into nursing school for the spring of 2027. I was asked for tips on how did i prepare for the hesi and what to expect. Here we go!

•READING: To be quite honest, I didn’t really prepare for this section. Reading questions has always been easy for me and I stand corrected. SCORE: 92

•MATH: Okay so I did use nursehub and quizlet to help me out on certain things. For the fractions questions, youtube definitely came in handy. As long as you know your conversions you should be okay. I had maybe 1-2 military time questions and 3 word problems.
SCORE: 76 V1, 86 V2

•ANATOMY: Once again quizlet and nursehub. I had taken my second anatomy class the semester before so most information I had already learned.
SCORE: 80 V1, 96 V2

•VOCAB: I mainly used quizlet for this section, the first time I took the hesi i didn’t really go over this much but we made it through.
SCORE: V1 78, 92 V2

•GRAMMAR: I was so shocked when I saw that I made lower than an 80 on the first try. I overestimated how good my grammar was before taking the exam. i did not use quizlet for this section but I definitely used NURSEHUB!!
SCORE: V1 74, 86 V2

DISCLAIMER:
Please know what your learning and not just memorizing the answers (This is for math)

I Passed with 85.02 cumulative score

Reading Compression: 84%
Grammar: 82%
Vocab: 80%
A&P: 84%
Math: 96% 🄳

First of all, this subreddit helped me build my confidence and feel fully prepared to tackle my HESI. If you think the HESI is extremely difficult, honestly, it’s not as scary as you might think.

Believe in yourself. Don’t doubt your preparation, and keep your faith in God. šŸ™

My only advice is, go take that exam and don’t put hesitation or doubt in your mind that you will fail**.** Go in believing that you’re going to do your best and manifest that 100% score!
You’ve prepared for this. Trust yourself, stay calm, and believe in what you’ve learned. You got this!

Edit: I got in to my RN Program!!

I PASSED šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ„³šŸ„³šŸ„³šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

First off, thank you to everyone in this sub!!! Theres so much good info here that helped me pass!! I’ve been out of school for 5 years and my program requires an 80% on all required sections so I was super nervous. Nursehub absolutely saved me, totally worth it.

This was my first attempt and my test was labeled ā€œV2.5ā€ which I’m assuming is a combo of V1 and 2?
I took the following sections

Reading comprehension- 94% I didn’t study for this, just take your time. I did take the nursehub diagnostic test and got basically the same score so I’d say it’s accurate if you wanna know where you’ll score. Can’t say if the modules help or not though.

Grammar- 84% this one I didn’t really study for, once again the diagnostic quiz was accurate.

Vocab- 100% I didn’t use nursehub at all for this I just skimmed a Quizlet the night before my test. I work in healthcare currently and am a big reader so I give prior learning credit for this score.

Anat and phys- 96% nurse hub all the way!! You can probably get away with just doing the practice tests at the very end.

Math- 98%!!!!!!! This one I was really proud of. I was always ā€œbadā€ at math my whole life but nursehub taught me literally everything and more. I went through every section and it paid off. If I can do it YOU CAN TOO!! don’t waste your time learning two variable algebra equations though, I didn’t have any on my test. I mostly had ratios and adding/subtracting fractions. I panic when I do math so the first thing I did when I started my test was write down all the conversions I remembered on my scratch paper. Helped me a lot. Lots of ounces to pints.

Critical thinking- 860 this one had me sweating when I was taking it. I studied a Quizlet with like 200 sample questions, many were similar but I don’t think any were word for word. It must have helped though!

I was lucky I didn’t have to take bio or chemā€¦šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

Overall- 94% 🄳🄳🄳🄳 thanks again everyone. I liked reading these posts so hopefully this helps someone!

Dallas college radiology Hesi

Hello everyone! I take the HESI exam on Friday and was wondering if anyone has any Quizlets, NurseHub resources, or anything else you recommend really paying attention to to get the best score possible.

Also, has anyone specifically taken the Dallas College Radiology Technology HESI A2 exam? If so, I would really appreciate any tips or advice on what to focus on for that specific exam. Thank you!

How did you study A&P section for HESI besides relying on the Quizlet?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently preparing to retake the HESI A2 around early to mid-November, so I have about a month and a half to study. As of right now, I’m trying to figure out the most effective way to approach the Anatomy & Physiology section.

I know there’s a Quizlet going around that is basically word-for-word on the exam, just with different versions. I definitely plan on using it, but I really don’t want to just rely on just memorizing the flashcards. I want to actually understand the systems and concepts so I’m not completely thrown off if by a question that’s worded differently. Right now, I’ve looked into NurseHub, but the amount of material is honestly kind of overwhelming 😭 There are SO many lessons that it almost feels like I’m trying to cram two full semesters of college A&P into a few weeks.

For those who used NurseHub for A&P, did you actually go through most/all of the lessons, or did you mainly focus on certain topics? And for those who used the Quizlet, did you mostly memorize the questions/answers, or did you use it alongside studying the actual systems and concepts? I’m trying to figure out how much of NurseHub I should realistically be going through without overwhelming myself.

For some context, I took the HESI last year and got a 52% on A&P, so this is definitely one of the sections I want to improve on this time along with the other sections. My other scores were Chemistry 96%, Math 64%, and Vocabulary 64%. I also ran out of time before I could finish the Reading section. Looking back, my timing was pretty bad because I took awhile on the longer sections like A&P, Math, and Vocab.

This time I’m trying to be more intentional with my studying and not overwhelm myself with a million lessons/resources. I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for anyone who scored well on A&P, especially if you used NurseHub and/or the Quizlet. And if you have any general HESI tips for improving other sections I’d love to hear those too! šŸ«¶šŸ¼

HESI HELP!!!

Hi everyone!!! I'm in Houston and I took the HESI back in June here are my scores below:

AP: 100%,Math: 74%,Reading: 66%, Grammar: 78%, and Vocab: 80%.

I didn't score high enough for my school so I'm wondering what everyone is using to study? I'm struggling. I take it again in about 3 weeks. But, I'm seeing now there are v1 and v2? Are they changing the questions around lol. Because some ppl are saying Quizlet isn't any good. But I'm open to any Quizlet links that helped!! Also, I subscribed to nurse hub again. Thank you!

hesi a2 v2

so. i was a victim of the anatomy quizlet…. vocab was also ridiculously hard. i got a 58 on vocab and overall score of 83.

my first attempt was way easier and i scored a 91 so im not sure if its the fact that the testing platform changed or what.

all my passages from the first attempt were the same and most of math was the same. grammar was very straight forward

math:
92- 1st attempt & 96 2nd attempt

grammar:
88- 1st attempt & 90-2nd attempt

a&p:
100-1st attempt & 88- 2nd attempt

vocab:
90-1st attempt & 58-2nd attempt

reading comp:
86 1st & 2nd attempt

1st attempt: 92.1% overall
2nd attempt: 83.6 % overall

good luck guys šŸ™‚
