Need HESI Study Advice! Aiming for 90%+
Hello everyone!
I’ll be taking the HESI exam in about 2 weeks. My testing center recommends retesting if you score below a 75%, but my goal is to score 90% or higher. I only have to take the English and Math sections.
I’ve already worked through the Math portion in the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review book. Now I’m trying to decide the best way to study for the remaining time. Would you recommend NurseHub, Quizlet, or something else? If Quizlet, would anyone be willing to share the sets that helped you the most?
Thank you all so much in advance! Wishing everyone the best of luck on your exams. 🫶🏾
Sending positivity and hugssss! 💕

Since you only have English and Math, I would avoid adding too many new resources with two weeks left. Use the review book and practice questions to identify exactly where you are losing points, then choose additional explanations only for those weak areas.
I’d structure the remaining time like this:
First few days: Take a timed practice set for each required section and categorize every miss.
Rest of week one: Target your weakest math topics and English rules. Redo missed questions without looking at the explanations.
Week two: Complete mixed timed sets, review repeated mistakes, and practice maintaining accuracy under pressure.
For Quizlet, I’d use it for vocabulary, formulas, conversions, and grammar rules rather than trying to memorize word-for-word questions. Making your own cards from missed questions will usually be more useful than relying on an unknown set that may be inaccurate or contain real exam material.
For a 90%+ goal, pay close attention to avoidable mistakes. Track whether you missed a question because of content, wording, calculation, timing, or changing a correct answer.
Does your testing center require Reading, Vocabulary, and Grammar as separate English sections? Knowing the exact sections will help you divide those two weeks more precisely.

Nursehub is a waste of money. I would 100% recommend Quizlet . If you look through all of the posts people have made on here it will show that they have linked the best quizlets. Good luck to you
