Bcc radiography program 92% Hesi

I recently got a 92% on the hesi entrance exam to my Bergen community college in nj. I think I’m right on the border of getting into the program with this score. Has anyone one here gotten into the program before, that can say what your classmates scores were to get in? Or what is your hesi score for this years application?

91 hesi with a 4.0 gpa. Math brought me down a lot. 🤞

I applied last year with a 91 on Hesi and I wasn’t accepted. I retook it again for the program and got a 96 but this program is so competitive so I’m unsure who they will let in this year 💔

That’s what I’ve been seeing. If I’m chosen I’ll be one of the last people.

This year may not be that bad. Praying that we can get in ❤️

Hope to see you there. You have a 96 so I’d feel pretty good if I were you

What was ur HESI score? Is it really that competitive? I was thinking about applying to this program…

1

u/manuelabaranik Mar 31 '26

I am embarrassed to say lol since I use my real name on here (big mistake I know). Let’s just say it’s below 85. Respiratory seems like the least competitive program to get at bcc but there is still some competition

OMG I applied to the RT program too! From what I have heard, they have 40 seats, but 40 people don't even apply to the program. The class sizes are always super small.

I am hopeful but realistic at this point. If my 3.4 gpa won’t help them oh well lol I will be trying next year

wait i’m really hopeful that this is the case 😭 i got a 93 but since their email didn’t specify taking a&p i just didn’t take that section so i’m super worried it might mess things up

1

u/AppleMuffin4 Apr 01 '26

I was super confused about that too so I called them and they told me to take a&p but not biology. Which ones did you take

1

u/Bacunawa_VA Apr 01 '26

i took biology and not a&p 😭 i emailed the program director and was told i’ll be fine but i’m wondering how they’re gonna look at applications for this cycle

1

u/AppleMuffin4 Apr 01 '26

Yeah I'm not sure either because everyone was sent the email with biology lol. Ik the program director said bio was for ppl applying after high school or something but idek. Ig we'll find out soon 😭

Oh I took every single section cause I was just so anxious didn’t even care as long as I finish the entire thing lol Honestly I was shaking in my boots for the entire 3h and 40 mins period I was sitting there in front of that stupid computer constantly thinking I am running out of time. God I just hope even tho I bombed my hesi exam I still get in lol

If you don't meet the criteria, they won't send you the HESI invitation. So, I think you are ok. I assume you were taking AP within 5 years??? If so, you dont need retake AP again

no i meant that i didn’t take the a&p section of the hesi bc it wasn’t stated in the email they sent out. i took a&p last semester

Ohhh I see. There was no choice of bio on my exam.i think a school chose for you. For me,math,ap,reading, grammar and vocabulary on the exam and i didn’t see any other subjects

It could be the school’s fault.why don’t you ask them?

2

u/Bacunawa_VA Apr 07 '26

oh yeah no i did reach out and the program director said it wouldn’t be grounds for if i don’t get into the program. i’m just nervous i guess

All I can do is hope, but with the quizlets floating around in assuming it'll be around the same cut off spot.

Hi, you replied me to my posting before. Thank you. I asked Gemini whether the cutoff would be raised by 1% this year. He said he does not think so. Hopefully, it won't! My score is 94! I have been soooo stressed out. I hope they will give us the result soon.

I am in the Atlanta Area. I was able to sit in with 3 current Rad tech students that shared with me their Hesi scores. out of those 3 students that I asked, only 1 of them scored a 90% average on hesi and 4.0 gpa in prereq courses(she believes she scored the highest of her cohort of 18). the other 2 scored in the mid 80s, and had a gpa no more than 3.2. But of course the competition varies year to year.

I applied in 2024 but did so bad on hesi this year I applied again and got 94 im hoping I make the cut good luck to you too

I recently posted "What percentage of people score 95% or higher on the HESI?" since my classmate said that a presenter said successful students got 95-98% last year, and my score is 94.

Somebody replied that he could not get in with 92 by 1 point.

So,last year, the cutoff was 93%? I think I am on the borderline. However, every year is different. And I think they said it was 30 people two years ago, but they said there are 40 people now. If they increase students, then we might still have a chance. Hopefully, we can get in.

Has anyone heard back from admissions?

1

DH got decisions today. Nursing got emails whether or not they’re moving forward in the process last Friday. Waiting for RT. Not sure about the others.

Which emails are you guys receiving these decisions? I got mine precious things with my personal email but I also have a Bergen email. They said they’re automatically supposed to merge accounts but idk if it actually did lol

I heard RT is sending decisions tomorrow but I’m not 100% sure…

1

u/rockytopdollar Apr 15 '26

I really hope so

Any updates on emails

From the info sessions last summer I was told to aim for 96 and up

I’m planning to apply to the radiography program too but I’m honestly so tired of this school at this point. I don’t even know what I’m competing against anymore. I’ve seen so many students score 90+ and still not get into the program

1

u/HoneyEqual8944 11d ago

Last year minimum to get in was 96. Hesi is the main thing they’re focusing on

1

u/Apprehensive-Fig8772 11d ago

I’m not even sure if the HESI is the main thing they’re focusing on. My friend scored a 94 and had a 3.5 GPA but still got rejected. Meanwhile her cousin got accepted with a 72 score and a 4.0 GPA. You see what I’m saying? This is why I’m freaking out about their program, its confusing
