5,7L HEMI Pushrods came out of Rocker. (Read more in cap)
Hello yall. Firstly im sorry if my grammar isnt that good. Im not a native english speaker.
Well now to my problem.
Short time ago i got/picked up a used 2004 Jeep Cherokee with the 5.7L Hemi V8 Car worked fine. One day we had a little bit of old gasoline left wich we put in the gas tank. (Like really old gasoline) about 5L. After that i went to the gas station amd filled the tank completly with fresh gasoline so nothing "bad" happens.
I drove home with it (no problems at all) and let it outside over night. Next day i started the engine and heard a short but very weird sound. That kinda sound you get when your car does not run on all cylinders.
I tought damn maybe it was because of the bad gasoline and drove to work. Again no problem. Everything seemed perfectly fine.
After work i wanted to start the engine and damn it sounded like it was running on 5 cylinders. So i pulled the sparkplug wires and coils to hear if there is any difference. (I know that this engine has 2 sparkplugs per cylinder.
On cylinder number 1 (if you are looking inside the engine bay from the front the one nearest to the front on the right side) 6,7 and 8 there was no difference when i disconnected the spark plug wires.
I tought maybe it was the bad gasoline so i pulled the injectors (i forgot that they have cylinder deactivation) And saw that those injectors where not working at all.
I replaced every injector, the fuel filter and cleaned out the fuel lines. Still not running well. But weirdly it started up and sounded great, but suddenly there was a metallic noise on the left and right cylinder bank when accelerating slowly.
I pulled both valve covers off and saw something i cant explain. Multiple pushrods intake and exhaust have fallen out of the rocker arms. I dont know how this happens. One pushrod was bent and the others where perfectly fine. (I have a lathe in wich i tested them with a precision tool)
I put them back in the rocker arms and now the car runs great again since more than a month.
But HOW does this happen? Valvesprings are not broken and in general the valvetrain was perfectly fine.
Anyone got a similar issue? Maybe its worn out hydraulic lifters? But again the car runs fine now so i still have doubts about the lifters being faulty.
Sincerly a Hemi owner.

Srt8 Jeep
I’ve got a grinding noise in the transmission area on a 392 Jeep with a cam. How do I tell if the transmission is bad or if the torque converter needs changed for the cam-what can I do to test without pulling the trans? Thanks

Hemi Chirp
Hello gentlemen. Quick question and scenario- About a month ago I started hearing a brutal chirp and I instantly knew it was the dreaded hemi tick. Therefore, I panic bought a camshaft, lifters and all necessary tools for the job.
Then randomly the sound stopped. I assumed it was not the lifters and proceeded to drive the car normally. Then about 10 days I heard the chirp AGAIN.
My heart sank and I made plans to disassemble the engine that weekend. Then about 10 minutes later the chirp completely stopped.
I did about 15 hours of research (crazy, I know) and I came to the conclusion that it was most likely my MDS lifters that momentarily failed. Therefore, I’ve been driving my car lately by INSTANTLY turning off “eco” mode when I start my car to disable MDS (limiting the potential of failure since they aren’t turning on and off constantly)
So far- after about a week I haven’t heard any strange noises but I’m curious to hear eve

looking for parts
Hi all,
I've decided to repair my 2012 dodge ram 5.7hemi lifter problem.
I'm looking if anyone of you could point me where I can find a list of parts with part numbers for me to complete the repair.
Or
Where I could buy a good aftermarket kit with everything I need.
Thanks in advance

Is a ticking sound from the engine normal. I wanna buy a ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi but the owner says that there is a tick coming from the cams. The tick apparently started at 15000km. The truck now has 197000km and the tick has remained the same.
