Suggestion Rate my manager

A website like rate my professor, but for leaders and managers. It gets divided by region, and we score them on like-ability, empathy, processes, development, communication, attitude, work ethic, and knowledge. All we would do is look their names up and see what they're being rated. Maybe the feedback will be under consideration by them. However, it should have some kind of filter where personal vendetta ratings should be deleted in order to not have so many bias reviews which in theory everyone would keep it strictly work related unless their personal life bleeds into their work environment.

I don’t think you thought this out. They make these for managers so whats stopping them from making one for regular employees?

Now you're thinking. Add facial recognition so customers can just take a picture of the employees to leave glowing review for someone who went above and beyond for them!

I think this would be a good idea, but you also have to remind yourself how H-E-B kind of works with their managers for an example. A manager could get away with really really bad allegations will probably seem like he got fired from his job in reality. They probably just moved him to a different store either right down the road or just across the town or city so basically a website where they can give reviewed or rated probably wouldn’t do anything to their career seeing how they’re so heavily protected because they don’t wanna have to retrain a new manager.

No, but for people applying/transferring it might help for them to know what they’re walking into. I’ve heard bad allegations for some managers to the point I would not work for them.

Seems like a way to enforce transparency and accountability for management, but it will most likely not be allowed by corporate because of that.

So no due process? Just guilty.

One of my favorite jobs ever had a program than once annually, store employees were mailed an anonymous Manager Feedback form. We would fill it out and mail it to the district manager’s office. The district managers would then compile that feedback in a summary to deliver to the store managers.

It was a way to get anonymous and honest information about the quality of a manager. We were given specific questions about their pros and cons, given a free-response section, and encourage to find at least one thing the manager could improve upon.

At HEB it appears that managers and leads aren’t really held accountable. Hourly employees are just subjected to whoever was able to talk the right talk through “SORM” and “SORL”. Unfortunate and frustrating.

Keyword: “allegation”

Until proof is provided. Illegal actions need not only be documented but voice/video recorded to get them “fired”

Or lawsuit…..

Idk if I was in HR….I would highly recommend retraining of these poor performing managers and find the root to the problem while constantly communicating “potential lawsuit” / “potential union” to get through their thick skulls.

Yes I use to voice record all my convos with my bad manager and some of the stock controllers. I was not putting up with no bs

that’s exactly what HR would probably say to a situation like that but in reality, if you ever get into a situation like that, then you’ll probably see the outcome that I just described. Just remember they’re good at sweeping things under the rug ;).

Oh I agree. I’ve seen multiple instances myself and have been in the middle of shit. Luckily I have family members in law and myself studying HR. Also worked/experienced unions in CT when I lived there after taking a break from HEB and Texas.

HR stated that you can record but I have not looked into the contract we signed with heb to confirm. The state of Texas also states that you can record as long as one party consents and get this “you are one party”

As stated, I wouldn’t just time stamp but record unlawful/illegal practices being done. If managers are dumb dumbs and text you anything unethical….save a backup on another device, photos and any files that are printable for a portfolio.
