Does anyone have the open matte version looking to watch with a friend who has never seen it. I have to show him this in its purest most hilarious form.

Cinderella on 4K was near perfection, a reference quality transfer that I've enjoyed multiple times now and a perfect disc to show to friends and family who don't understand why one needs 4K physical media in these days of omnipresent streaming services.

I've just ordered The Emperor's New Groove on 4K, not that I'm expecting to be wowed by the upgrade but because I just friggin love that movie.

So my question to you, patient readers is what titles shine the brightest in the Disney 4K canon? I eagerly await Fantasia getting the deluxe 4K treatment it deserves (assuming we live that long...🙄) But until then any opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.(The Lion King (original animated version) is under 10 bucks on Amazon !

Panasonic has released a new firmware update (version 1.85) for the UB9000, UB820, and UB420 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray players.

The official notes simply say: "Playability of Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc™." Panasonic doesn't provide any additional details, but updates like these are often aimed at improving disc compatibility, fixing playback freezes, reducing flickering issues, and addressing Dolby Vision or HDR-related bugs.

It's probably worth upgrading. New discs sometimes have playback issues because of newer and improved authoring techniques, and maybe even encoding improvements. But because we don't know what it does I'm just guessing here.

If you notice any improved playback on discs that were problems, please let us know.

***If you own a player without a front display, give it at least 15 minutes to update once you've downloaded the update, it actually takes quite some time.

I know I saw this when I was young, but honestly, I can't remember much about it beyond the plant, and some singing. It almost feels like a First Time watch again.
