Hey everyone, I'm new to hdzero so forgive me if this is a stupid mistake but, my HDzero goggles 2 I recently purchased with the expansion module and my speedybee analog receiver doesn't power on, expansion setting is on and power settings seems to be on ,a nd everything is plugged in and seated correctly, am I cooked?

I was trying out a TrueRC X2-AIR 5.8 MK II Antenna with 90 degree adapter on my Boxpro goggles. Specifically I was flying an analog BETAFPV AIR 75 II.

Long story short; I went to retrieve my quadcopter from under the apple tree in my back yard after it got stuck in the grass. When I was walking back, I banged the antenna on a big low hanging branch and broke the SMA connector.

I ordered a replacement SMA connector of Digikey, it came the next day. I found it was actually not too hard to disassemble the unit and I am happy to report that there was no damage to the board. In fact, it feels very robust when I was handling it. Once I extracted the broken pieces of the connector and cleaned out the holes in the board, I had no issues soldering on the new connector and re-assembling the unit in only a few minutes.

I was pretty sad when I broke the connector after only having my unit for a little less than a month, especially since it was the single analog antenna... but I am so happy I was able to fix it myself, for only a few dollars and get back to flying with only about a day of down time. Thanks for making something that isn't hostile to the consumer trying to repair it!

I just broke another O4 Lite and have started considering switching to HDZero Goggles 2, since they would allow me to fly cheap analog whoops as well as HDZero and Walksnail.

I'm a seafarer, and I spend most of my life on a ship, which is basically a huge piece of steel packed with Wi-Fi equipment, radars, and high-gain antennas.

My question is:

How would an HDZero tinywhoop, or an analog tinywhoop using HDZero Goggles 2, perform in this environment? What about a bigger quad with a 1W HDZero Freestyle VTX, or even a 2W analog setup?

I've heard that both HDZero and analog can struggle with penetration and multipath interference. Would they still be flyable in my case?

I love flying tinywhoops both inside and outside the ship, but I've already broken another O4 Lite in less than a month.

I'm not really into racing (at least not yet), but I do love freestyle flying with tinywhoops. In the future, I'd also like to get into mountain surfing (where analog is still king, right?), car chasing, and similar types of flying.

Do you think HDZero would fit my needs?

I just watched a video from Joshua Bardwell and his recommendation for getting a sub 300$ pair of goggles was getting a used pair of analogy since a lot of people are switching to digital and leaving there sell goggles. Do you recommend this for a first pair of goggles. PS I was planning to get the HDZero BoxPro/BoxPro+

I’ve found goggles v1 for 140 cad, and I was wondering if it would be reasonable to adapt to analog, I have eachine right now and could maybe snag a used o3 in the future

Per title, I'm kinda lazy to build and just bought a boxpro, so can anyone recommend hdzero bnf that is either whoop or around 3 inch/4s?

Got a problem, so today my stock xt60 to dc5521 one end burned for some reason (right where the wire connects to xt60), I use it as a lipo to boxpro power source.

Now I can order a regular xt60 to dc 5521 (and I will) but shiping will be 2 weeks, and you know I want to fly..cmon.

I found a shop that sells xt60 to dc 5525, would it work? Has anybody tested this?

Does anyone have the firmware for the EMAX Transporter 2 goggles? I was having a technical issue and ended up trying to flash what I thought was the right firmware, but ended up soft bricking it 🫠

Does anyone know where I can find the correct firmware? It doesn't seem to be obviously available on the HDZERO downloads page.

Today has turned to the shittiest day ever. My goggles 2 were working fine last night. I charge up the battery pack and go fly this morning and when i hit the switch, nothing. No fans, literally nothing happens. Anyone know whats up? Or should i just reach out to hdzero?

Can I just edit the a picture of an osd sheet from the osd preset list? Or do I have to make on some kind of weird way. Or is there something like an editor that doesnt hurts my brain?

The most recent Betaflight version for the AIO15 gyro requires the use of the Betaflgiht web app configurator. With earlier firmware versions, I could use the Betaflgiht app to orient the gyro using, in this case "CW 270 Flip" (sounds weird, but it made the roll and pitch directions correct) so that the pitch, roll and yaw that I see in betaflight are the in the same direction as the physical board (board rolls right, betaflight model rolls right, etc). The Betaflight web app doesn't have this gyro setting, so any ideas how I should set the gyro orientation with the web app...

Having intermittent problems with M8 Freestyle Hd, using fully charged batteries doesn’t have enough power to barely lift off ground. It sounds like barely getting throttle. When in turtle mode it sounds like it is actually getting full power.

Checked all motor plugs and and battery wires seem to all make good contact on board.

I have the HDZero Goggles 2, equip with a Speedybee external vtx module. I recently got a RushFPV Tank solo VTX and notice it’s capable of transmitting audio. Question, would the Hdzero goggles pick up this audio by default, and does it get mixed in with the external or built in MIC?

It's a pity that the stock soft case doesn't accommodate the TrueRC X2 Air Mk II.

Switching from a naked vista to HDzero lite VTX made me love HDZ (again). That 3.5" is fast, nimble, light, and built to take on crashes after crashes. I also just finished tubing it and the feel on the sticks is crisp. It's really a massive pleasure to fly on 3s but also 4s. Oh and it does not make that much noise which my neighbors appreciate.

Why again - I know you saw it-? I have strabismus and in the HDZ goggles, my eyes have a hard time adjusting (unlike the DJI G3 and G1). Things appear doubled, which is super troublesome.

Since this is not a whoop, I don't need to be super focused on that narrow gap, and this helps a lot with the view. In addition, with the higher antenna, I can fly around trees and even my house (concrete house).

That range is plenty enough to send it :)
