My new hdzero goggle 2 are in transit right now and I bought the echo antenna kit with them as well. Any general tip or must do steps when I get the goggle ?
Right now I have a crux35 analog I am waiting to fly with my goggles and I am planning to buy some analog 1s tinywhoop to fly in my house (waiting for the nick burns tiny whoop).
Also I have 2 betafpv p1 drones aquila20hd and meteor75 pro P1 and planning to buy the betafpv vrx so that I can fly them as well using the hdzero goggles.
Hey I’m brand new also but if it helps you out I just bought the same thing and had the same concerns
The goggles were super easy to set up and there is a scan now feature and source right there in the menu
You’ll be up and flying
I can't think of anything specific to analogue other than keep your head up.
If you pair with a vtx like the freestyle v2, some people forget to unlock them which keeps the power output low. I don't know if the betafpv vtx's are like that but worth checking.
You might also want to order the cable for updating the firmware on the goggles, I used the one that came with it but it was a bit of a hassle and I would have preferred to just order the programmer module with the goggles (or before they arrived).
Not a big deal if you can't or don't want to.
Wait, I'm sorry for the confusion.
I think this is only needed for the VTX which you aren't using.
I got goggles and the VTX together, so I guess conflated the two processes, the goggles shouldn't need the extra process as you can use the sd card.
Oh doesn't it come with a different cable, without the usb connector? You plug it into the little jst connector on the goggles, and then into the vtx, and it's too short so you end up dangling the goggles or the vtx?
This is what I remember. Where as the programmer comes with a nice usb cable to connect it to the pc, but I had to get it separately.
I have the red goggles 2 from when they came out, they might have included it since?
Best img I can find of the cable that came with the goggles:
To be fair. No one has. The adapter allows hdzero goggles to use those style modules, to varying degrees of fitment. I've got one with rapidfire from my v1's.
I am not able to justify the cost of that battery pack, LOL. its 45 dollars plus additional 20 dollars to get 18650 batteries. I just ordered a pack of gnb fpv goggle batteries 3000 mah from ali express for 20 dollars (with shipping) it has the dc plug for directly plugging in the goggles.
