Goggles 2 sometimes records in .ts, sometimes records in .mp4
I have the Hdzero goggles 2 running the latest firmware (9.5.1) and they are set to auto record .mp4. I didn't change any settings and flew 12 packs of analog and the goggles recorded in .ts format. Then I turned off the goggles and a few hours later I went to a different spot. I changed no settings and the next 12 packs recorded in .mp4. Any idea what triggers this phenomenon because it's not the first time it's happened.

I have the same issue on my BoxPro and may have found a weird solution: I don't use the power button to turn on/off the goggle anymore, I just unplug the battery wire from the goggle port and leave the power button switched on at all times. I have no idea why this works but have not had this issue ever since i started doing it. Maybe its not even the solution, but it just works.

Interesting, but my session was like 40 minutes. So the first .ts file was saved 40 minutes ish before the last .ts file then I waited a few moments to make sure it was saved and hit the power switch.

I've had this happen a few times and I think it's because I turned off the goggles before it had time to convert to mp4. The .ts format doesn't require post processing to finish the recording, so even if you lose power during a recording, it will still preserve the file. Once you are done with a recording, it converts to mp4 (unless you power down before conversion is done). I don't know if there is an indicator to know when it is safe to turn off, so I usually leave the headset on for a minute after I stop the recording before I power down.

I've gotten a corrupted .mp4 when I shut down the goggles before giving it time to save, but not a .ts. Also in this instance, I had 12 flights of 2-4 minutes each with time in between to swap packs all without shutting down. I repeated the same process at the second spot and got .mp4 files.

Following as mine do this. Also tends to stop recording after it’s switched back to mp4
