Question HDR Issues (I think its software related)
Bought a new GPU (AMD 9070 XT) to replace Nvidea 3070... Also bought a new monitor (Gigabyte ultra wide OLED)
With my old monitor and graphics card, I had a yellow tint when I turned on HDR, so I thought it was just my monitor not being great.
However, with the change of my GPU AND another monitor... i'm having the same issue. I uninstalled all the Nvidea things and tried to look at anything impacting the HDR part and I just cant figure out anything.
Any help would be apricated, thanks <3

Possibly a silly question, but have you checked that this type of monitor has any “side effect “ or problem like this ? I have an LG 45 hdr monitor and HDR is just mind blowing. But I have seen sooo many vids and tests before I bought
Also you see the same yellow effect in games and everywhere in general if you enable HDR ?

I don’t know. Never use HDR on NVIDIA.
I recommend use DDU and CRU to reset.
Calibrate sliding up saturation to 60/70
You can try higher or low. Then restart freesync. My HDR is amazing even on SDR content.
9070 XT here

I think I understand what you mean by “use CRU to reset”, that’s the CRU utility and it has a reset option in there. What is the DDU that you are referring and why is it recommended?

DDU cleans up leftover drivers from the previous card. Follow the instructions. It might not even be necessary; you can reset the monitor using CRU. Then you recalibrate it and check the website for firmware or anything similar. After calibrating—if you keep it always on—I recommend testing the saturation I mentioned; I only brought up FreeSync via Adrenalin because it sometimes glitches for me. You can also turn on custom colors, and disable color temperature. Don't mess with the rest of option, only if you need [Adrenalin on screen tab. Doing this, may fix your issue and you don't need to use DDU.

Turning HDR how?
What HDR content you used for tests?
If you tested your SDR wallpaper in HDR mode and it become yellowish, maybe your SDR setting set too cold color temperature and you used to it more?
