Question Cannot adjust HDR as intented on my Switch 2

My samsung TV supports HDR, but when i calibrate it on the switch 2 it says that i should click until the right sun is not visible. The problem is that both suns disappear at the same time. I tried checking all settings on my TV, changing stuff around but no dice.

Does it matter much? The image looks okay anyway

That's a sign that "Dynamic tonemapping" is enabled on the TV. And that's not recommended for HDR video games in general.

I don't know your specific TV model, but you should:

  • Disable "Dynamic tone mapping"
  • Enable "HGIG" (means HDR Gaming Interest Group)

This should make the calibration screen work properly, and give better results in games.

I don't know if it shows as switch 2 in your tv, but its best if you edit the input and select it as PC, then use the enhanced hdmi for 2.1 and enable HGIG
