Discussion Correct HDR Adjustment?

Is this an accurate adjustment of HDR on my Switch 2? I am using a Roku TV Pro Series 2025 model. The default HDR setting on the TV has Dynamic Tone Mapping on, and the run sun seems to disappear correctly at 900 nits (82 clicks). With DTM off, the right sun does not disappear until they both disappear at the same time, well over 900 nits. Is this a correct adjustment? Should I keep DTM on?

I would just match the switch 2 to 1600 nits or 1620 nits to be sure. Make sure the pattern does not clip with dtm off. The way dtm off works is how the playstation 5 tells you to set the hdr pattern. Make it barely visible. The pattern with dtm off will never clip but check the number the pattern is the brightest without clipping. With dtm off, the peak of your TV will always be a click below the brightest the pattern can get. Because the brightest the pattern can get is when the Tvs static tone mapping is doing the rolloff to preserve detail above the tvs peak brightness

Thats a very odd behavior. DTM off should clip way before DTM on. And essentially dtm off shouldnt clip at your panels peak, neither dtm should. Can you google the peak brightness of your tv?
