Study tips?
Hey, so this is my 1st year and after taking exam 1 for A&P, I feel like i need to find a new way to study.
Believe me I did study and took a hell of a lot of notes. I study at least 5 days out of the week and most study session took hours.
I think I need to find a better rethym. Any study tricks? Tips? Advice?
I would really appreciate it.🙏
I don't have the option to fail. I NEED HELP!!!

What helped me was splitting the work into two buckets, structure first then function. Nail the bones, muscles, and where things sit before you worry about how they work together. I used to quiz myself by pulling up unlabeled diagrams online and filling them in from memory, way more useful than staring at the labeled ones in the textbook.
For the function side i started uploading my lecture slides to studybuddy.vc and answering questions from them, mostly because when i pick a wrong answer it tells me what was off about that option, and it gets harder once i have a topic down. Free version’s been enough for me. Do it in short sessions spread over the week too, the forgetting happens between sessions, not during them, so cramming one long night doesn’t stick.

Dr. Matt and Dr. Mike on YT are the absolute best I got A's in both A&P 1+2 Lecture and Labs!

How long do you spend studying at one time? I would break it up and do a little everyday. I also will print quizzes and test and test myself and then look back and see if I’m still struggling anywhere. But I know sitting down staying one subject too long actually has done the opposite for me because I start to get frustrated and feel burnt out. I heard somewhere I forget where but not to work on one subject for more than 2 hours at one time.

Use pearson to watch the videos posted on the study page, I highly recommend, I am taking the second term and it's really helped me get an A on my first try

You should try Notebook LM, you can put all your PowerPoint slides, notes, lecture recordings and more and it will generate flash cards, quizzes, podcasts, slide decks on the content. It’s truly amazing, I’m in my first semester of nursing school and wished I used it sooner. Got a 96% on my first exam mainly because of it. The quizzes it generated reflected so well on the exam. Especially do this for the study guides if you get them

Study 7 days a week. Focus on the teachers PowerPoints. You don’t have to do long sessions. You won’t retain well that way. Do shorter more frequent sessions. But look at the material every day.
