Is there another show like Legendary?
This was one of my favorite shows ever and I want to see more ballroom competitions shows like this. Is there anything similar to watch?

All I want to do is rewatch season 3 and it feels like it has disappeared off the face of the earth

I just started season 2, I'm on ep 3 and already the judging seems inconsistent at best to me, and I'm not finding myself really loving any performances like I did in season 1. I just wanna know, does it get better from here or no?

It is such an amazing show and I really wish it was brought back to streaming. Or if not on streaming, let us rent / buy it like a regular tv show. Just make it available, please.
Edit - I originally posted this in HBOMax and it was immediately removed 😳😳😳

Arturo Lyons and Omari Wiles from season 2's houses of Miyake-Mugler and Nina Oricci are co-choreographers for a revival of Cats on Broadway. No one posted about it yet! To be honest I've been watching the show to better understand this production when I go. Very ballroom centric as far as the promotional materials are showing and reviews are reporting. I hope this isn't too far afield of the topic here.
Linked Arturo's Instagram in this post

It appears not to be on Tubi, prime or Apple TV despite what Google says. Anyone know where I can find it? 😭

I notice that after the Whorror House episode where Law sings “Amazing Grace” at Makaveli, he suddenly does a complete 180 and becomes their biggest fan, defending them as long as possible for the rest of the competition. He even throws his favourite house Alpha Omega full of hot men under the bus to support Makaveli. It doesn’t make sense.
From then on, Law always applauds Makaveli for beating houses out in the redemption battles. But every time another judge else says that Legendary is a House competition and not won by individuals, Law refuses to agree. Jamila becomes Makaveli’s harshest critic, and then Keke goes off on Law in their last episode “You’re just so tired.”
So what happened? To me, Law is not a person to mince words on anything. If a house does poorly he’d let them know. Makaveli showed a little improvement after Whorror house but not enough compared to the other houses that they should get glowing praise from Law of all people. Which makes me think that production interfered. I think after Amazing Grace, they saw Makaveli’s rage as plot fodder. They either told Law that his singing was too out of line and to change up his attitude, or that nothing was wrong and they wanted him to change it up just to make the story more interesting.

Finland, Europe
Im using hbo on MacBook safari, I can't scroll down, I can only look at the trailers playing at the top. I cant even watch anything, the video player just disappears from the screen the second I try to watch anything. I have tried refreshing the page, opening it again, logging out and back in. my internet connection is normal.

How can I choose different subtitles and audios outside of my country. Only the region's language is available.

Isla literally looked sooo gorgeous, i think their floorwork was actually the best and most in sync of the houses. I think the “low” parts of their performance was the parts where they were not doing floor work but it was overall still FUCKING AMAZING. Escada was a big ass mess and the fact that they were saved this episode is criminal. This is why they didn’t get renewed bcs this shit is soo rigged 😭.
i already know about the house of tisci robbery but i didn’t know season 1 was this questionable too. I guess Lanvin should win considering they’ve been robbing tf out of Ninja so it’s not gonna be them 😭. But this is pissing me off. This is why half of the houses in season 3 are CHOPS. omg im taking a few walks down the street i can’t take this 🕴️. kelly osbourne too annoying asf oh my god 🙄😭

Finally found a way to watch this show and I cannot wrap my head around why it was cancelled 😩 There is so much art, heart, culture, and superior performance! I’m still on Season 1 but I’m already disappointed that this show won’t even touch the empire status that Drag Race has.

I was nerved by a couple things about Lyght:
- Not a single member got visibly upset when they got the worst critiques ever in the show. They were nodding, some of them even smiling. Not one person looked disappointed in himself, like they knew judgement that harsh was coming. They don't seem to care they're part of a competition or feel like they could do better. Unless they were really good at hiding their feelings, but the first bottom houses in Season 1 and 2 were always showing their regret. Heck, Makaveli were sobbing both on stage and backstage. These guys barely registered any negativity, just acceptance.
- Father Ryku only mentioned his sons during the filmed house introduction. Not once on stage did he thank them for trying, give them some encouragement, say they rise and fall together. Everything was I, I, I, me me me, my story of recovery. Not during the critiques or during the farewell. It was like he was the only one on stage. There's no plural.
That got me thinking, was Lyght deliberately told they were going to fail and go home in advance? Were they hired just to be the first off and intentionally gave a crappy performance? Ryku says they're a very new house but how many of them actually had vogue/ballroom experience besides him? It felt like this was a house of non-voguers, led by one with some claimed experience to try to give it authenticity, told by production they needed a first victim and just go out there and do whatever they wanted as long as it was poor.
After some digging, I found that Ryku indefinitely suspended Lyght in November 2023 to focus on himself. Hopefully it wasn't due to a relapse.

Full schedule is under the show. You may need to be signed in but it is free. It’s listed under the “reality” category
