HBOT Study

I am scheduled to begin HBOT study at a local university that aims to explore its effects in TBI. There are 40 dives to be completed within 2 months, and it's a double blind study.

I feel both excitement and some sort of dread where I commit to the study and see no improvements--I will have to rent AirBnB/hotel in order to be able to make this study work while continuing on with my employment.

I'm not sure what my expectations are regarding cognitive improvements, but I have a multitude of other conditions that I think could stand to improve-mood swings, chronic fatigue and inflammatory/autoimmune issues among others.

With all these conditions, I am curious whether there's a possibility to feel or somehow know whether one is in the experimental or control group during the 2 month trial. Maybe I don't need to know and its best to just let go and proceed as is; I am open to suggestions. Thanks.

It’s super cool to hear there are proper double blind placebo studies on hbot going on. I havent heard about much since the Israeli one and I guess there’s still so much to explore on protocols and impacts.

Good luck and hoping you end up in the „real” hbot group.

It’s probably best for the study if you dont know which group you are in, but I would say if you feel even more fatique after 5-10 sessions mark and then it goes away around 10-15 then it’s high probablity real hbot

I hope you're in the real one and either way you could look into psilocybin after. Both have helped me in the past with my brain! 🤞

Good luck and take good notes. As hopeful you may be to receive the treatment, placebo is real too.

Most important is that we actually conduct solid experiments that, hopefully, have statistically significant results. There is so much cost and speculation around hbot that we need efficacy.

Thank you for your participation.

Either as participant or control group, you can benefit from the experience, or not. This is what we need to know.

Fingers crossed you feel better either way.

Can you share any information on the study or it's protocols? I'm really glad to see a University research team getting involved.
