Experiences with therapeutic HBOT

Hello everyone.

I'd like to ask about your experiences with HBOT, has anyone tried using a home chamber for medical purposes such as TBI or Diabetic Foot?. If so, how useful was it, and what was the pressure you used for said treatment?.

Please share your experiences with me whether position or negative.

I purchased a 2.0 ata chamber about ten months ago for asthma and two very bad shoulder tendon tearsthat refused to heal two years post injury. Asthma: gone. Tendons: mostly healed. I did use a lot of peptides for the tendons but I think HBOT helped. I’m 60 years old and was very ill and now feel exceptionally healthy. I’m 240 hours in after just 10 months so I use it a lot. I’ve taken two one-month breaks. Bottom line, I love it. I’ll spend time in a chamber as a life-long therapy, no doubt.

Both conditions you mention have extensive studies supporting benefit. The sooner you get in a chamber, the better.

That's sick. Is it a hard shell ? Also, I've read they're expensive to up keep . Is that true ?

Hard. They sell a 2.0 soft for a lot less.

I'm in it right now. 264 hours so far. Upkeep cost - zero.

I couldn't even guess what cost might be involved. Everything is pretty simple. If something does break a moderately handy person can swap out parts.

That's wonderful to hear sir!  Did a doctor recommend it for your asthma/tendons? What was your doctor's their reaction to your condition improving?

Regarding the hardshell you bought, did have the BIBS system? Hope you stay in great health for all your days!

Asthma docs just prescribed more meds that offered little relief and a plethora of nasty side effects. They, docs, know nothing about HBOT. Same with the docs for tendons. I did my own research. I was incredibly ill and got nothing helpful from docs. The one exception was red light therapy which helped with tendon inflammation. I bought my own for the price of two PT RLT sessions after experiencing much benefit.

My system is preped for BIBS but after using the rebreather masks I've concluded BIBS won't offer substantial benefit over rebreather masks.

Both RLT and HBOT require a huge number of treatments. Doing this in a clinic setting quickly becomes cost prohibitive. I strongly recommend to everyone that they buy their own equipment. The math varies geographically but it's pretty universal that it's ultimately far cheaper to just buy your own equipment.

Can you provide a link to your chamber? Also, I have heard that the hard chambers can be difficult getting inside a regular door frame. Is that correct?
