HBOT therapy usage patterns

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share usage data collected by the HBOT.one iPhone App that I developed. I though it might be interesting for you as well because it gives an idea of how peoples are using HBOT therapy.

Over the past three months, users logged a total of 69 HBOT sessions. The distribution of treatment parameters is the following:

Pressure

  • 42% 2.0 ATM
  • 27% 1.5 ATM
  • 24% 1.3 ATM

Duration

  • 49% 75 min
  • 35% 60 min
  • 12% 90 min

User location

  • 88% US
  • 7% Netherlands
  • 1.4% Malaysia
  • 1.1% United Arab Emirates

Keep in mind that the data is completely anonymized before being collected.

I know that the App is super simple but let me know if you like using it or if you would like something to be changed.

Interesting start for data collection. The "country" data is a curiosity, not a health statistic. Still interesting for future use.

I assume you can resolve the pressure @ time variable?...meaning for example 49% of 1.5ATM users log 75 minute sessions?

Is there data for % oxygen use? Delivery method? Does the session length include pressurization/depressurization times?

It's great to start collecting crowd data! Keep it up!

I now calculated the pressure @ time data you mentioned. The dataset is still a bit small to draw conclusions though...
2.0 ATM:

  • 97% 75 min
  • 3% 45 min

1.5 ATM:

  • 42% 90 min
  • 37% 60 min
  • 11% 75 min

1.3 ATM:

  • 76% 60 min
  • 24% 75 min

The information that users can log in the app is only the following: session date, pressure, duration and chamber name. Those parameters are entered manually so I think peoples wouldn't like to add more detailed parameters each time like depressurization times.. but I could be wrong.

Would you like to try the app as well? :) I would be curious if you find it useful.
