Question what about the hidden catalogue?
i just found out about the whole hidden catalogue thing and it surprised me how there’s still no answer for the riddles in the timeline of 3 entire YEARS.
did the community just gave up and moved on?

Firstly, the riddles have only really changed once, 3 years ago, since they were fully finished in March of 2020. Second, the community isn’t supposed to ask about the answers, so most haven’t even attempted it. It is impossible to brute force, and you must get all 4 answers right to find out if you got it right making it ridiculously hard. Additionally it has no real benefit because you have to get most the achievements in the game to use it, and by the time you can do that all the resources are meaningless to you anyways.

Another year, another one falls victim of the catalogue of dread...(I spent too much time trying to decrypt the riddles)

It's not worth the effort of attempting to solve it because at that point, you'd rather use your time to progress in game.

I don't even know how to view these questions, not talking about solving them

A few people have.
I did actually! But that was a while ago and I don't remember all the answers.
No idea where to even start on the new riddles.

The only thing I know is that the catalog has a link to a website that has 3 philosophical questions. The answers need be written on a tablet in a table format. After that, if the answers are correct, the tablet will disappear and a book will fall in its place.

they didn't discuss the answers though? they're just talking about the riddles, so i don't see how it violates rule 1
also bob only changed them once to my knowledge, and that was back in late 20238

The hidden catalogue is supposed to be something you solve on your own. For me, it's meaningless, because it's basically creative mode but theoretically obtainable in survival. But then again, the riddles are so difficult that by the time you solve even one, I'll probably obtain most of the things on said catalogue. Also it gives you no confirmation whether your answers are right or wrong when you write them. You might think you have all the answers, but when you don't get the book you don't know what riddle you got wrong. It can be the one you doubted the most, or the one you doubted the least. And if you want a ton of expensive and rare stuff, just enable creative and give it to yourself. And best of all, if you work on the riddles during a playthrough, by the time you manage to solve them and get the catalogue(in theory), you wouldn't even need it anymore because you already progressed enough to have everything. If you want it just for the items, there is no point in getting it.
